"It just feels like something that's always been in existence and we've just come into contact with it" Well put. I know what you mean. That So Many Roads happened so late in their career is as amazing as the Grateful Dead itself.
Holy Crap! I truly hope you read this Davvy! If you remember me I just bought your Golden Road course. Well all I can say is thank you. I read some other guys comment sayin when he first saw your video he thought what an ass hat!! Boy was I wrong .. you are funny as shit. Make the boring stuff fun. But so glad we kept coming back. Dude I’ve been practicing for hours everyday this week and I think my playing has improved by years. Doing all my stretches and finger exercises I’ve been playing for 30 years but could only tie it all together using pentatonics. The idea of chord inversions and shapes really hit home. I can’t explain it but I probably don’t have to since you wrote it. So again thank you. I’m living my dream and playing dead songs on my bed. This one in particular.. yes I cry every time I hear Jerry sing it. I saw it live in Philly 1995 the year he died. You can look up that show. I balled my eyes out that night too. I was also homeless and So Many Roads speaks to MY soul… I was trippin balls too so there was that. Anyway to be able to play this OMG! Now I really want to work on soloing. Can you show those quick trill like tricks you do? Maybe in an upcoming live workshop?? Thanks again sorry this was so long!
what you said about the lyrical content of So Many Riads hit home for me, couldnt put it any better. except when i listen to Days Between and then IDK what to think....just poetry better than poetry
Hahahaha, the Intro rock's 😂 Love your lesson's,so much fun and background💯Very understandable and structured parts, for me the best online lesson's🎶🎸Thank you🙋🏼♂️
Thanks for another amazing lesson - I have new appreciation for this song. Man that soloing over F was some of your best I think, really loved that. Like, going over to your Patreon rn type love
Once again , fantastic. I would send an email although I didn’t see one. One kind favor I ask of you my brother Davvy. One kind favor would be super cool , right. Think of pigpen. 👍
i was literally just picking up a can of red bull when you were like "except you. put that down. you know you're not supposed to touch that!" and i was like DAMN HE KNOWS hahahaha
Are your massive forearms from playing guitar 24/7? I mean it can’t be because even like say Johnny Ramone who played lightning fast power chords every show didn’t have disproportionate forearms. You have Popeye arms! Lol. Maybe you have some other hobby that uses a ton of forearm muscle? Not sure what that would be. Or I guess you just spend way too much time at the gym on forearms. Just your biceps don’t appear like you even work out. I’m so confused. Great work on teaching these amazing songs. I mean I wish these videos would put up tabs on the side while showing each part. And maybe a link to those tabs. That would really make these useful. Like a few major guitar tab apps have this song but only the chords or really weakly done tabs. Wish I didn’t have learning issues and could learn lead better. Would love to be able to play this song perfectly note for note
I found you cats maybe two months ago, randomly. I believe I was looking up a "how to play" Sugaree video and you popped up. Subscribed immediately and just about all 8-10 Dead songs I now have in my arsenal were learned from you! My wife and kids thank you as well! ✌
Am i the only one who else waits for these every Thursday???
Nope, same here!

So many roads--So many commercials!!! Dude
Sorry Bob! Gotta make that money! But, I did see that they put a lot of ads in the actual video, so I took those out.
