@Itz FanaTic Plays a hagstone Is a rock with a hole through it, thought to have magical properties. In the Tales of Percival, Peredur is given a magical stone that allows him to see and kill an invisible creature called the Addanc. In another tale, the hero Owain mab Urien is trapped in the gatehouse of a castle. He is given a stone by a maiden, which turns Owain invisible, allowing him to escape capture.
The odd piece of greenish glass that Alex found about 9 minutes in is fulgurite. The charred side is the clue that this blob of sand was hit by lightning, then worn down by river currents. I lived in the lightning capitol of the world and have found several similar pieces on the beach.
@Centauri I found a very similar piece to the one Alex found about as big as a dinner plate with almost identical black burn marks around the impact, when I turned it over the bottom looked like glass worms going in all directions.
@@dannytorrance9555 that is cool. There are people that spend their time hunting and digging the fresh strikes up. They look like glass trees. Maybe one day I'll find one too
Beautiful rocks. I love agate and jasper but I have never seen an actual hag stone. And all of the beautiful sea glass and a doll's head. What a beautiful rainy day hunt.
Those agates are stunning, and so are the other finds! ❤️ Alex, I really love the cinematography and the music. I know it's a lot of work, but the result is amazing. It really reflects the mood from that time of year.
I was so excited when you picked up the large rock piece that looks like a work of modern art. I so hoped you were going to take it home. You both find amazing and beautiful things, but that one rock just spoke to me. It's funny how that is. Thank you for the enjoyment you bring with each video.
Hi Alex and Gail! ( : You two never fail to make me smile. Ladies! Thank you sooo much for all the wonderful content and cool finds, as always. I needed a lift and you two never fail to deliver! What cool pieces of stone, agate, and a Georgian ledge! I loved the haunting melody you played after finding the ledge and accompanying the sunset signaling the end of a successful hunt! ( : You guys found the most beautiful pieces of natural stones! The agates you found were gorgeous, just like the finders! ( : Beautiful inside and out! ( :
I'm very happy to hear that in the future you will be cutting and polishing and making things out of those beautiful stones I am a mud lark but I'm also a rockhound and I'd love to learn a lot more than I know about lapidary work I can't wait to see it I enjoy your videos always
Goodness me ladies, the imagery and music at the end of this lark were enough to bring out in goose bumps. What a lovely ending to a perfect lark. Such beautiful finds. Mother earth certainly knows how to make the most wonderful items. With the help of water and time. Those glass pieces you found were so smooth and perfect. Those hag stones, i love. My mum would always pick those up as good luck charms. I still have one or two that she collected when i was very young. Takes me right back to childhood and carefree days on holiday, with my patents and siblings. Such lovely memory's. The agate pieces you found Alex were very pretty. Loved that swirly one especially. I look forward to seeing what you do with the items you found, some time in the futcher. I couldn't believe that you found a dolls head. 😆 What an amazing place to lark. Thanks 😊 x
Hi my husband and I started watching your videos and we enjoy ur treasures. My husband said tht your voice would be perfect as a narrator for a story book . Be safe and ty for sharing. Your fans in the USA.
You both had a lot of lovely finds. And, some nice surprises, like the doll’s head…so sweet! The pieces of sea glass were some of the chunkiest and most worn I’ve seen. And, the agates are so pretty in colour and pattern. A great day!
I absolutely love it when you go rock larking or as we here in Kansas would say rock hound hunting! Almost every stone is beautiful when it is cut and polished. My Dad made jewelry, windchimes and other beautiful things out of rocks he cut, ground and polished! I wish I had his equipment, I do had lots of his rocks though! Please be careful and stay safe! ❤❤
My goodness, those scenes towards the end where you have this evening sky are the most beautiful ones I think I've ever seen. And that haunting music that was played with it it was almost like a religious experience. Thank you so much for that. CL
I absolutely loved this. The stones are beautiful. we’ve been collecting few different stones too we found a seal / dolphin tooth other day. it’s amazing love what yous do. It’s so interesting. Hope yous are well and have a great week.
Hello from Tucson, AZ. Hope you guys are keeping out of the heat. I am used to the heat, but it seems to be cooler here than a lot of places lately. I just love your videos. Gail, that one big longer rock with all the quarts breaking through reminds me of a baked potato. Thanks four sharing your adventures!❤❤❤
So nice to see mother and daughter enjoying a wonderful time together! Your voices are so beautiful and calming, and your finds are also really beautiful! Just love your videos! 😊
I used to hunt for agates as a child growing up in Minnesota and South Dakota. I couldn’t walk a gravel road without looking for agates. We also has a rock polishing tumbler and I loved seeing them polished. This was so fun for me to watch!
i'm so grateful for finding your channel! ive been an avid collector for years but only through purchasing crystals/rocks but since a friend of mine who knows what i'm like gave me a lovely bit of what they thought was a standard but lovely piece of quartz which when cleaned up revealed some amethyst in which sparked a new passion to get out hunting! until then i always assumed here in the UK we didn't have anything other than your average quartz but now through your videos and 'UK gem hunters' i can't wait to get out on my bicycle and back on the 'River taff trail' which runs from Cardiff all the way up to the Brecon beacons but this time to get hunting! i'm so grateful i found your channel! my favourite so far were the Garnets in Scotland but i've got lots more of your videos to watch! thank you from Cardiff! 😊
Loved seeing your agate finds of course, but the sunset at the end with the mournful music was exquisite ! Thanks again for sharing your adventures with us.
Don't you just love the uk..when it rains. Very refreshing. I hated that 35 to 40 degree weather we had!. Far to hot and uncomfortable but when we get the 18 degree with rain. Its so nice! Everywhere looks so pretty. Grass looks so green instead of looking like straw. A the pebbles etc show up so.pretty like your videos. We are very lucky in the uk. My mother and I used to do a lot of agate hunting around the Willamette river over here in Oregon, USA. Her trick to finding them was to have the sun glint through the agates by standing opposite the sun. I am still amazed to think of what it took for the planet to create such wonders and the vast variety of mixtures that can be found in even the smallest of stones. What a backdrop for your hunt, a castle in the background is probably just normal for you, like the fawns in my yard, I get used to them until I read the comments that people leave.🤗🥰
Very sweet video today ladies! Very sweet, the music and background a classic! Thank you once again for your gentle calming videos … be well…from California 🌹
Such an amazing adventure! It's too bad you could not bring the big stone with the writing on it home. However, your filming will document it so nicely!
As usual, your video and accompanying music (even the baahs in the background) always bring me joy and peace and, in this case, the excitement of agates! I live on the Washington state coast where we have carnelian agates. It is well worth it to go out in stormy weather to see what the waves wash in, leading to one of my favorite quotes, "There is no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing." In addition, this video from last October must have been nostalgic with your current heat wave! While much of the US and Europe suffers with heat, we sit at 60 degrees F...or 15 degrees C!

It's so cool that earth can make such beautiful rocks. I love watching your videos because we don't have these types of rocks where I live. Loads and tons of fossils but ni "gemstones".
