This movie has the most accurate depiction of working class Massachusetts culture I’ve ever seen. It’s got the banter, tracksuits, fistfights and roast beef sandwiches. That’s literally all we do, besides fish
Ben Afleck and Matt Damon wrote this movie. It was nominated for 9 Academy Awards. They won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and Robin Williams won Best Supporting Actor. This movie is how Ben Afleck and Matt Damon broke into the big time.
I haven't looked into it, but I'm still amazed that got the support that they did. Two _astounding_ actors like Williams and Skarsgård. The story alone would've been legendary, but the actors carried it over the line.
My favorite scene in the film is Gerry and Sean at the bar, showing exactly who they are and what they want to do with Will. Gerry wants to "fix" Will so he can be a math god. Sean wants to save Will's life. Stellan Skarsgård never disappoints. He's one of today's best actors. He doesn't get enough praise. Skarsgård, Williams, Driver and Damon were all worthy of Academy Awards for their performances. 👍👍
Great movie! Without Kevin Smith becoming a producer on the film Good Will Hunting, no studio wanted either Matt Damon nor Ben Affleck in the lead roles. Even though they had both written the screenplay, the studios considered them to be unknowns. Kevin Smith, thankfully, convinced them otherwise. Please watch Clerks.(1994) Written/Directed/Starring Kevin Smith
You guys are a real pleasure to watch! Even when its a movie ive seen 100 times! Keep up the great work and i wish you continued success and all the best for you and your family.
OMG! You cut 95% of Robin Williams’s monologue on the bench?! That’s widely regarded as one of the greatest speeches in cinema; it won him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
@jscan4442 here's some advice if you want your video to get attention and likes maybe show the best parts of the video... thats the stuff people want to see the reaction to... next time, dont comment if you don't have something smart to say
I love this movie and love your comments during the movie. Matt Damon & Ben Affleck won Oscar for their screenplay. Robin Williams also won an Oscar for his role.
Robin was mostly known for gis comedy side but his drama movies were great too, this one, Dead Poets Society,One hr photo, Insomnia is a great one, Robin Williams n Al Pacino, i'm sure you'll like that one too.
Do you like apples? Well, then... you can come to my orchard... and have some apples... yeah, you can get a bucket full... but you have to give the bucket back... it's not mine... We have prize winners! 🙂 (ha! got 'em 🤨)
Can u believe these 2 dorks, Matt and Ben, started writing this in their early twenties, having no idea what or how to write! And someone they knew was blown away, and got a rough bit to robin! And how they got Robin and Stellen to do this, I'll never know! Robin won an Oscar for this! After Robin died, Matt goes back to the bench every year on Robin's bday, sometimes with his kids. The park bench is a memorial now! The younger guy is Casey Affleck! The red head is now in Yellowstone, Cole Hauser! A fantastic actor, but a bit of a loose cannon. His father was even a better actor, but certifiable! Wings Hauser!! Originally, they didn't know how to write the end. Robin comes up with the final line, director and Matt look at each other like, Movie done! He add-libbed the wife farting lines. Matt is cracking up for real. Even the camera man was rolling....look at the camera frame on that scene, it's shaking! Robin has done several top feel good movies. This, patch Adams, good morning Vietnam, awakenings, Dead Poets, and really one could say the bird cage, Doubtfire and Jumanji....which is really a movie about Spielberg's relationship with his dad. In this movie, Ben is actually quite smart, with his brother, with the employee guys, he talks them into the dust! He could do sales, marketing, etc., he also doesn't know his potential. If u like movies like this, and genius and chess and life lessons, try this true story movie about a little boy, who's a chess player. th-cam.com/video/nDZSqnzXQJc/w-d-xo.htmlsi=LwLnfOk_l9eKHlkV
This is back when Robin Williams was making $20 million a movie and the biggest star in Hollywood. But, he did it for scale because he said when he read the script, he knew it was one of those stories that needed to be told.
Hi guys, thanks for your great reactions. Haven't watched this one yet but never jumped on your channel and seen there were no comments. You have to be a Filipina right? Anyhow, love you two.
People take the edit too seriously. You have all obviously seen this movie before. If you really cared that much to see parts you wanted you’d pay for their patreon and watch along if you want to see the whole thing. Keep doing you, you two. Don’t listen to the haters who seem to be abundant on here. 🙄
Sorry but editing out most of the dialog of the bench scene is just wrong! It's one of the most powerful speeches in all of cinema. Poor editing imo. Otherwise good reaction!
The fact that you are one of the only channel that cut up the bench speech from Robin, you just lost me on this reaction, I am not finishing watching it.
Definitely the worse react I've seen you guys do so far. Too many times you guys chose to leave in your commentary in which your insights were useless because all you did was repeat what was just said in many of the scenes. Biggest disappointment is that the scene on the bench where you chose to cut out most of what is considered to be one of the best movie dialogs ever written. Sorry if I was to blunt, but I believe in being brutally honest.Other than that I look forward to your next react
Dude….y’all’s editing sucks….you cut out most of Robin Williams monologue when he’s talking to Will on that park bench…the best scene in the whole movie….and all kinds of other good parts…I quit watching after the park bench scene.
This was a VERY disappointing edit. We come here to see _the movie_ with you and to enjoy how good it is. But as Sean said to Will about ripping his life apart, you ripped the movie apart, and edited like what we see on YT doesn't really matter. Not looking to piss anyone off, just trying to elevate the product.
Your editor needs a tutorial on how to edit a movie. This was pathetic. Seriously. What is the point of us watching here if you cut out the best parts? Serious question. Some people are gullible but most aren't.

She was moving to California for medical school at Stanford.
My boy's wicked smaat.
"Like magnets..." 👍
Right reactions in the right time to this wonderful movie. Greetings from Belgium
The first meeting between Sean and Will is gold..the mental and verbal jousting is great
My favorite scene in the film is Gerry and Sean at the bar, showing exactly who they are and what they want to do with Will.
Gerry wants to "fix" Will so he can be a math god. Sean wants to save Will's life.
Stellan Skarsgård never disappoints. He's one of today's best actors. He doesn't get enough praise.

Hehe...she wiped her earbud clean on his shirt.
hahaha I was like "what is she doing?!?"
This movie is sooooo good! The performance by Robin Williams is absolutely amazing!!

23:10 while he was telling the story she started wiping her earphones off on his shirt and he was to involved in his story to notice 😂
I always have to cry while watching this movie. beautiful one and beautiful reaction. thank you so much!
You guys are a real pleasure to watch! Even when its a movie ive seen 100 times! Keep up the great work and i wish you continued success and all the best for you and your family.

Skipped a lot of key parts
This is supposed to be a reaction. If you want to see the monologue, watch the movie.
@jscan4442
No need to be rude. It's his opinion.
t's a question of good editing, which this was not. See some posts below.@@jscan4442

Good pick for you guys..👍
Super choppy edit though, to whittle it down to a 30min. blip.
You guys are so cute! I love how you both dissect the scenes :) subscribed
Great reaction 😊 They were so young it made their accomplishments even more amazing!
23:10 Love is - wiping your earphone on the shirt of someone else … and they’re totally fine about it.

@@BigBoss-zi5ss😂❤😂
You guys are so good. I wish this would have been longer. This is a top 10 movie.
~Patreon~ (It's not their fault)
Robin Williams was always great, but The Birdcage is probably my Favorite RW movie. It was hilarious.
Great soundtrack. Elliott Smith made several immortal songs.
This whole damn movie is quotable.
Nearly every single line.
Early in relationship, Sean calls him Chief… at end, he calls him Son…
Great insight you two.. Great movie. I never get tired of watching it.
Robin was such a likeable and awesome actor. RIP
have been absolutely loving your movie choices; and you two are just a blast to watch ! :)
one of my faves. Watching it always gets me emotional, being reminded that Robin Williams is not with us anymore hurts even more
lol, the best monologue in this entire movie, probaly one of the top of all movies has been edited out. i should fire the editor
Game over... great reaction 💯
Love you guys! Great reactions!
I love this movie and love your comments during the movie. Matt Damon & Ben Affleck won Oscar for their screenplay. Robin Williams also won an Oscar for his role.
thank you so much :)

Good one, J&M! 😊
Such an excellent movie and the fabulous Robin Williams is the best.
Do you like apples? Well, then... you can come to my orchard... and have some apples... yeah, you can get a bucket full... but you have to give the bucket back... it's not mine... We have prize winners! 🙂
(ha! got 'em 🤨)
You need to watch Awakenings starring Robin Williams.
23:00 Pretty sure the artist you're referring to is the van Gogh brothers Vincent and Theo.
Stanford University is in California. Skylar's going there for graduate achool and wants Will to come with her.
Exactly, med school
Excellent reaction and analysis! The Dead Poet's Society is another Robin Williams gem.
You guys are adorable. 😊

Terrible editing.
Missed most the deepest and most profound parts of conversations.
Too busy talking to hear.
Too bad
bible isnt interpretation, its directly inspired by god

I like you guys but damn one of the greatest movies of all time and your reaction was terrible sorry.😢
It's actually a 1997 film but oh well....
Love your personalities, but your editing of your reactions is horrendous. You left out "Many" highlights.
Should have been a longer reaction than 30 minutes.
They didm't write it. William Goldman did.
Wtf are you talking about? Matt Damon and Ben Affleck definitely wrote the film and won an Oscar for it.
have another beer..
One of the worst reaction videos to an all time great movie ive ever seen. It makes me not want to watch your videos anymore
Then don’t watch the channel anymore, you big crybaby. 😭
Agree !!!!!!!!!!💩👎🏼

Boring movie. Not for me
It don't like your channel
