I got to hold one of these a few months ago and I melted like a school girl. Despite being treated like garbage by our scouts, damn that thing is superb quality! A hell of a lot better than the M14 DMR from back in my day.
The biggest differentiator between sniper and SDM is in org structure and mission as defined by doctrine. SDMs are normal infantry squad members who receive the SDM rifle and who hopefully attend an SDM course. Though, I’m hearing that is not always or even sometimes often the case. Which is unfortunate. I have the 20" version... with a Eric Cortina adjustable compensator... As much as I heard, the barrels are coming from Germany - the rest is more or less made and assembled in USA... but they dont get the chrome lining in the barrels bc its to "military" (durable) for export and that way its more "sporty" regarding export laws. (james said that in MR556 video on this channel) - but better check yourself its called (416 clone - I think)

Have a parts correct clone that just needs to be sent off for receiver modification & refinishing to be done and yeah, it's an absolutely phenomenal rifle. You can get 99% of the way to the real deal too, the only parts that are particularly difficult/impossible to source are the endplate w/QD sockets, the stock in RAL8K, and a chrome lined barrel. It's an obscenely expensive project though

Hey guys if you ever do buy a MR762 there’s a company that will clone it out for you. They will scallop the brass deflector, and they will cut the forward assist off and re-weld the hole closed. They will also cut into the lower to give you an ambi bolt release, and they will anodize the entire gun and remark it. The company is Black Ops Defense. I sent my MR 762 there but I kept my Ford assist because I’m a firm believer in having one because I’ve had to use it before in shitty situations before and I didn’t opt in for the ambi bolt release and mag release because I didn’t want my kit to hit my mag release and drop my magazine at the wrong time which has also happened to me with my issued M110 back in the day. Anyways just giving you guys the info just in case one day you want to buy one.

if you had mixed the sound so that the mic of the guy talking is the only one thats on, the sound would have been so much better. that phase/delay thing in the interview is horrible. would also use an ambient microphone to mix in the surroundings to make it sound natural. As a audio engineer, this is lazy. C-

No it's after that point during a side view. Looks like the scope is about to come off the rifle. Seems like the front clamp is loose.
If you look at the video between frame 2:10 and 2:15 you can see the mount is loose. However he still hit the target. Lmao. So damn fine shooting lol

What are those BUIS? I am in the market for some canted iron sights for my Aero M5. Looking at options.
