that part is actually part of the central love theme that Zimmer scored for the film, but as he said its also a central theme for the film as a whole, and its amazing
4:15 You can really feel Davy Jones and the loss of Calypso and how he felt that she betrayed him. Beautiful piece nonetheless. Hans Zimmer the magnificent
The beauty of it is because it's short... a result of a great build up, releasing all the tension into pure magic. 1 day at shore, 10 years at sea... so powerful.. Do you really want to ruin the melody for yourself?? listening to it over and over.. kinda stupid IMO
Very few songs, even in all of music, hit you in the feels like this one does at 3:09 and 5:15. Even 8 years out, the Pirates of the Caribbean series still has the best soundtrack in all of cinema.
Such a great soundtrack, BUT... 2:00 - 3:08 Mystical beautiful, as if you were caught in a spell. 3:10 - 3:48 Omg...I'm dying...just amazing!!! You're breaking out and feel invincible when you could travel to the end of the world! :) LOOOVE IT!!! ♥
Honestly there should be a full version of just that part. It's kinda lame to make something so awesome only for it to last for less than a minute in an 8 minute song.
People are insane for not talking about 5:20, agreed! Holy shit, just the epicness... and sadness. The journey to bring Captain Jack Sparrow back from the dead.
It's because 5:20 is nothing particularly new in this song. It's the same theme of Davy Jones + the Kracken. In this case, its the song playing as they drive into the locker. That being said it's still great, just not what people would be coming for in particular to this song.
3:10 At this point, I remember the final scene from the movie, where Elizabeth says goodbye to Turner. On the one hand, it's sad, but on the other hand, you understand how strong love must be in order to live like this all your life. 1 day on land - 10 years at sea.
Late to respond, but I prefer sailing around the easier parts of the map with a almost completely upgraded ship while listening to 5:18 . It just feels right.
If there’s ever a world after this one, I’d like that 30 second swell of music from 3:10 to 3:40 to play as I once again greet family and friends I haven’t seen in a long time in warm embraces.
I haven't been watching this movie since a long time, like years, but actually when I watch it again some weeks earlier, I have to admit its soundtrack is just the best of all times, not just all Hans Zimmer's works. Many movies only would have one typical track or just a good ending song by some pop singers, but POTC series is one of the kind that have so many awesome tracks that you could actually remember and immerse yourself into this scenery. Also, in my opinion, the series' soundtracks seem not to have gained enough reputation as it should be.
I don't know about the reputation this series soundtrack gets. But people in my entourage love it duly, and it is at the very least a reference when evoking pirates, or sailing away. Also I love how Klaus Badelt created the original theme, and Hans Zimmer just enhanced everything.
@@lc1138 As far as I know the first movie soundtracks were also composed by Hans Zimmer, just under Klaus’s name because Hans has another contract/project at that time, if I am not mistaken. But yeah, I realized my og comment was 8 years ago but it still remains true to today. You are right that the soundtrack now associates with pirates and you can’t possibly skip the reference!
The soundtrack for At Worlds End and the Lord of the Rings trilogy are two soundtracks that I can listen to from start to finish on repeat. Great stuff.
Oh my god, I love this song so much... I always have to cry because of all the sadness in it.... That's the Will-and-Elizabeth-Theme in this movie, right?
Yes, you're right. Maybe this song shows how they seperate from each other, Will thinks that Elizabeth loves Jack, because of their kiss in Dead Man's Chest.
Is 5:15 when the Flying Dutchman immerge from the sea and blowing pirate ships into pieces with big rusty guns scene? The scene makes her look so badass! As she is. ^^
If you like that part, which it's my favorite too, then look up the track "12. One Day" from this movie. It's basically the extended version of that part and I LOVE listening to it. It's the part near the end of the film when Will and Elizabeth are together on the beach. ^-^
I always turn the volume up really loud just before 3:08 because I just love that part so much. It goes in through my ears and soaks my mind, soul, and heart with, with I don't know what. Something to subtle and intense at the same time for the normal 5 senses to feel. Something truly magical.
This is one of my favorite songs. I love the combination of Davy Jones and The Romance Theme and how they become intertwined. It is so beautiful. Hans Zimmer is a musical genius.
The amount of talent a person must posess to compose not only this great song, but the sheer amount of brilliant songs Hans Zimmer has produced is staggering. Most of us would be lucky to compose one bar this great.
Most of these themes are sad but we’re fallen love with them. That’s the beauty of melody and the talent of their creator. Well done Hans I’d like to say you’re the 21 century Mozart :-)
3:08 takes my breath away every single time. it is just so beautiful. it fills my heart with something metaphysical. something that music nowadays cannot do.
Kinjutsuu I know listening to a song over and over mostly ruins it... but this sound is just so brilliant. Most beautiful and most powerful soundtrack i know.
And to me, "real" music is listening to music (mostly soundtracks/osts) that has the power to change my emotions and change the world around me. That to me is real music. It has to be exciting, sad, happy, scary, and of course emotional. Hopefully I am not the only one who thinks this.
"Its not gettin' to the land of the dead, thats the problem."
"It's gettin' back."
Yup wise words before that epic music
Favorite scene in the franchise.

3:09 BEST PART EVER

that part is actually part of the central love theme that Zimmer scored for the film, but as he said its also a central theme for the film as a whole, and its amazing
5:18 Definitely.
+Doctor Batman Who You are right :) Love that tragic part!
+Mau Humor But 5:18 portrays the might of the Flying Dutchman at its best!
3:09 shivers crawl up my spine by this. Just so majestic and beautiful. The third movie is totally my favorite
Your not alone. The third movie was the best. The Soundtrack, the storyline and the big battle at the end all won me over.
Airplane Maniac may I also add that the chemistry between Depp and Rush was just great and hilarious...
OMG yesss!!!my favorite parttttt!!!
I agree! And the third movie contains a lot of Will and Elizabeth -scenes
I love that part just love love love
Pirates of the Caribbean was one of Zimmer's best work and that's saying alot
maybe the best!
+The Top probably
It's either this or The Last Samurai.
or the Dark Knight or Inception
This. Interstellar and Inception. Too many of his newer movies harken back or reuse bits from these movies.
4:15 You can really feel Davy Jones and the loss of Calypso and how he felt that she betrayed him. Beautiful piece nonetheless. Hans Zimmer the magnificent

I can't believe this song exists. One of the most amazing scores. Thank you Hans.
Any music/song can exist as long its from the hands, the brain and the heart of the one and only Hans Zimmer
3:09-3:41 NEEDS to be longer or have a separate piece entirely. Can anyone that's a tech genius take that out and post it on a 3 hour run please lol?
pirates of the caribbean: one day
thats 10 hours of it in one video
The beauty of it is because it's short... a result of a great build up, releasing all the tension into pure magic.
1 day at shore, 10 years at sea... so powerful..
Do you really want to ruin the melody for yourself?? listening to it over and over.. kinda stupid IMO
Yes!! It should be a separate song! I love this part so much
I agree. It is my favorite part. I almost cry everytime i hear it hahaha ♥
I totally agree that's the best part and it should be longer.
Still in 50 Years, we'll remember this franchise.
i’ll remember it forever !
Only the trilogy
@@fares_dn i'll remember the 4th one..wasnt the best movie, but at the best and funniest jack sparrow out of all the 5 movies

ik. i prefer the part at like 3:20 where theres like the boomin low brass, where it already sounds great, and then the violins reply. so perfect.
Nathan Chlysta that was a beautiful way of describing it
Game of Thrones begs to differ.... Rains of Castemer pretty good
Nope, better than that. The Stark music on GOT sounds more richer, sorrowful, and haunting than Rains of Castemer.
Agreed!!!! Nothing compares to potc!
Best part is from 0:00 to 8:07
I have to agree with you there
I know right.
Well, duh
Yes :)
Right, I totally agree
3:09 that's the kind of music that plays when old characters you grew up with return to a series
They literally used this when Will and Elizabeth returned at the end of POTC 5 serie :) it was epic!

3:10 - 3:48 Omg...I'm dying...just amazing!!!

In my opinion it is arguably the best part of all the music in PotC
2 words .. Hans Zimmer ..
3:10 has got to be THE best love theme out there in the cinematic world
Honestly there should be a full version of just that part. It's kinda lame to make something so awesome only for it to last for less than a minute in an 8 minute song.
2:00 is the magical theme in POtC they use for the Fountain of Youth also
