men in the 90s seem to be short. We watched this when I was little, my mum still talks about it being her favourite tv show, all I remember about it was men being pushed in the pool
When the men got pushed into the pool, we never saw them get out. Are the audience cheering as they drown on live TV? And if so, then why the hell do they not have a swimming pool option on X-Factor, Britain's Got Talent etc. :P
I used to remember the women being really provocative on this show when I was a kid and I always tried to watch it sneakily without my parents realising!
Hi Backintime Sorry, I don't have the rest of this episode. I do have some other stuff from the same evening which I will post, such as the National Lottery Live but no more Man O Man! That had a great theme tune and I loved the elimination round, shame it didn't last more than two seasons, it was great fun! The mid nineties were great for Saturday evening TV, no talent shows in sight...happy days!
I wish episodes of this (and especially this series, from 1996) were here [be even better if it was all 13 episodes, from the 4th of May, to - I remember the last episode was aired on the 27th of July]. For Challenge to be able to show this, there’d have to be enough fan demand.
I think they should do this show in reverse and line up women...then a line of Supermale Models come along and push the women into the water voted by male audiences....That would be Brilliant!!!!!
@healthystyle, I don't think it would work in reverse. The "feminists" may call it oppression. It's like the current show Take Me Out. Can you imagine a row of men judging a woman? Overall though I think the format of these types of shows is corny and makes the men look gormless.
Hey this is cool! do you have the whole episode as my brother is number 10 and he has passed away now so I would really like to get the whole episode! thanks
@blueeyessonny well it's their own fault for signing up to be on the show! It's not like they're standing there with guns to their heads with woman forcing them to be there is it. It's a game show. They didn't have to participate if they didn't want to.
But they’re treated like animals performing for a circus, while being laughed at… then they’re judged and rejected which is painful enough - but to add insult, they’re pushed in cold water in their own clothes, which is not only humiliating but physically not pleasant either because that shocks the body and disorients them. It’s disrespectful and cruel, regardless of what they signed up for. I think the female audience is not actually that cruel, they are quite encouraging to the bad performances. But the show itself is quite hateful to men
Low entertainment. The only one i remember(that i watched)was with Amanda Holden who was a judge watching some drippy looking bloke who actually had a talent for playing electric guitar who was playing some blues songs and he escaped being pushed in the drink
I Remember The Show As For Nel Mcandrew I Took Part In A Retail Company Christmas Party Version Of The Show Came 6th Not Bad. Best Thing Was Nel Poured Sawdust Over Me Took Dayz To Get Over That. As Well As Trying To Get Into A Night Club Afterwards Covered In Sawdust I Just Don't Think They Belived My Story. Ah Well At Least I Still Have The Good Memories.
Don't worry Chris Tarrant a few years later you weren't presenting rubbish like this. You start presenting the great who wants to be a millionaire. Sadly like a lot of things after 10 years it a bit stale and that was it they added a clock on the question to put a twist on it but millionaire was taken off air. Now millionaire will be on forever on challenge as repeats. Man O man to rubbish to be shown on challenge.
I have such fond memories of this show and the set. Saturday nights in the 90s can never be topped!
Only the 90's could have produced a show like this. Great entertainment. Sadly to never be repeated.
Oh my God I remember watching this!!! This takes me back lol!!! I was 14 years old then haha!!! Summer memories of 1996😊😊😊😊
I used to love this show I dont care what people say the 90s was the best
Please share all the episodes if possible in case you have links thank you
I miss this show lol x
Me & my older brother loved watching this. I was 16 & he was 18.
I remember watching this as a kid - mostly just the women pushing the men in the pool.
I was yon the 1st ever episode back in May 1996,what a experience, wish I could find the pilot.
men in the 90s seem to be short. We watched this when I was little, my mum still talks about it being her favourite tv show, all I remember about it was men being pushed in the pool
I remember this but I don’t remember Chris Tarrant presenting it
This was SO GOOD back in the day. Take Me Out is SO weak compared to this.
I loved this, the way the models sashayed up to them! Would love to see this back on tv
The 90s. I was kid when they used to air the show.
Was one of my fav shows…
I remember this show. They should bring it back lool
Only if Saturdays on ITV was like this again :D
@@flowerofthesouth Man O Man, Blind date etc.
Omg this is 90s tv at it's best!! When I was a kid I wanted to be those models so badly lol. x
At it's worst, you mean! You didn't watch enough 90s TV if you thought this sexist rubbish was good! Blind Date was better and The Generation Game!
At its best for women... sucked for men lol...
@@Blofeld67Get a grip. Great tv.

The guys wouldn't actually drown.
The TV company would never allow it.
They'd be sued. They'd get out of the pool offscreen.
I can think of a lot of guys I would like to have in this position. They’d all get a good dunking
Would be thrilled if Nell McAndrew came round to my local swimming pool, and pushed me in.
What a time to be alive
😂😂😂T this is gold can you imagine this show being made today 😂😂😂😂😂
Gosh I so remember this, I'm a true 90s kid I guess :)
Can't even remember the concept I just know I liked this show
been trying to find out what this was called for ages
I used to remember the women being really provocative on this show when I was a kid and I always tried to watch it sneakily without my parents realising!

Was three at the time, and I used to love this!

Nell McAndrew was the 2nd to last hostess in the line-up. Possibly her first TV gig
ha ha, i remember this!
has anyone got the opening theme tune?
i love this programme! thanks for uploading!!!
When she said "it's a unanimous decision" I think she meant to say "it's an anonymous decison", bless.

Is that Nell McAndrew at 2:09?
Danny and Arin???

I remember this show lol.
I used to watch this with my grandma 😂
Saturday 1st June 1996
Have you got anymore of this episode?
I think they should do this show in reverse and line up women...then a line of Supermale Models come along and push the women into the water voted by male audiences....That would be Brilliant!!!!!
healthystyle I agree

Hey this is cool! do you have the whole episode as my brother is number 10 and he has passed away now so I would really like to get the whole episode! thanks
Sara Lasenby I just read that and felt so sad. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Oh I'm so sorry ❤️
My ex boyfriend from when I was 11 years old was contestants number 1, he has passed away as well. I'm very sorry for your loss xxx
Hi Sara, what was Simons full name? My partners mum think she had a relationship with him in the 90s.
@@bethhamnett8855 hey there. Simon Todd
Yeah totally agree. I always had a massive crush on Martine, that's probably why i watched it!!
I'm surprised half of them didn't go into the pool for those clothes, although it was the ninties...
@blueeyessonny well it's their own fault for signing up to be on the show! It's not like they're standing there with guns to their heads with woman forcing them to be there is it. It's a game show. They didn't have to participate if they didn't want to.
Amy Totally agree with you. I’d love to go in this show if it was on now... it’s just a bit of harmless fun
But they’re treated like animals performing for a circus, while being laughed at… then they’re judged and rejected which is painful enough - but to add insult, they’re pushed in cold water in their own clothes, which is not only humiliating but physically not pleasant either because that shocks the body and disorients them. Haha I watched this.
With the recent 90s fashion revival you can see they were pretty damn selective eh?
This was probably a girl's dream come true

Man O man to rubbish to be shown on challenge.
Chris Tarrant actually said in an interview that he enjoyed making this show.
Lets be serious this was super cringe
