I had made this model before, but made it again just for fun. I was off by just a little bit. For some reason on my edge flange there was an offset on the start of the bend by .010 I didn't see it until I zoomed in real close. I saw an extra line, and thought what the heck is that line there for, then found the offset dim. My model was still within tolerance but not the same as what you had for the correct answer. Thanks Toby, keep up the great work.

DUDE!! did SolidWorks automatically check the option on for "offset" in the edge flange command??
Because that happens to me ALL THE TIME!!! And I thought it was just me!

@@TooTallToby What It seems like is happening, I used the command on another model I did before and I had used an offset, so that field was still set to what I had on my previous model. I would expect that when you create a new model all those fields would reset, But I don't think it did. I will have to experiment a little bit.

I'm wondering where to look to find the jigs to bend such a design for (hundreds) level production. I guess you make a solid positive and negative with a gap the size of the object and then crush the piece in a press? Any recommendations on videos to watch that part of the process?

Hey Toby, when you did the mirror of the body, couldn’t you have also just done the features? I know sheet metal cannot always mirror but that seems simple enough. Great tutorial

Hi Steve, Great question! I think it's just one of those thing (in life) where it might work one way, but it DEFINATELY works the other way. So I just chose the path that I knew would always work, rather than running the risk of it failing and having to start all over again :-)
We gotta do another users group this year! :-)

How did you do the double dimension? I always end up typing the dimension I want then divide by 2 but would prefer to do it how you did it.

Hi. It would be cool if you don’t show your keyboard cam. Perhaps instead a button trigger animation. That shows the button you klick. That would be easier and faster to see, which button you klick
