As always, thank you for all the content. IR4 for the win because of price and they look elegant and if you want brighter lights, the Both S4 have the same watts and cheaper than the JMaz. Also, there's something about the JMaz, I don't like the way they look. Great charging case but people don't see that. Cheers!

Before I sold my Ape Lab 1.0s, I did a side by side comparison to the 2.0s I bought. Very little difference in brightness as far as I could see. 2.0s have better colors and looks better than the 1.0s. The reason I bought the 2.0s is to get better ambers. Great video!

How do the sound active modes compare? Can the JMaz do similar pattern like the Ape Labs? THat's my favorite feature of them.

How do the candlelight colors compare between the Ape Labs and the JMAZ? Can the JMAZ give you a good candlelight look?

Your jmaz will be brighter because they're newer..led dims over time both led may be cheaper than the German ape labs

The fact that the ape labs maxi 1.0 was released a decade ago and still competes in today’s standards says a lot I think.
You should upgrade your maxis 1.0 to the 2.0, the color mixing is much improved and the focal length is very similar to the JMAZ (much narrower beam and far better projection). The IR4 looks like a toy next to the JMAZ and Maxi 2.0.
As always, you get what you pay for…

The sequence on the stairs. The one color mix was strobing. Videographers will hate that. I can't believe they are not flicker free. It is caused when that particular mix of colors refresh rate is not matched. I like the both for the softer wash without the hotspot, but for taller ceilings, the jamb will definitely look stronger. My lost opinion. It is personal preference but I do not like the little flare out bleed the Ape's and the JMaz have right above the light

Anyone tested the new Rockville RF4 v2?? Wondering how compares to Both

Both Lighting makes Rockvilles lights. I looks like they added the screen and DMX/Wifi channels to the RF 4 V2, that now matches the IR 4. Output should be identical as the OG RF4 and IR4, but it is now just as capable for DMXing as the IR4.
