Great questions! Yes, you may travel to the Great Lakes via the St. Lawrence, but the owner of Ottawa may close the St. Lawrence Seaway to nations with whom it is at war. New York is connected to St. Lawrence via a canal. Antarctica took up valuable space that could be devoted to expanding Europe and Scandinavia. I think you would really appreciate my new video comparing v3 to v4! I didn't realize Bhutan had been eliminated. I'm very interested in that particular country because my son will be traveling there next year! I didn't realize a change had been made to the Central American nations. I'll ask Morten about that one.
First, thank you for the reply. I did watch the v3 to v4 comparison it was also very cool! So I can sail a ship from New York into the Great Lakes. It makes sense but I wanted to make sure. If you ever played civilization 5 or 6, you could also perform that maneuver. It looks like central America is one "country" and it doesn't look like Bhutan is there. Maybe Bhutan and Nepal were combined? But it doesn't look like it to be honest. I was thinking that most likely, some central American nations were too small for gameplay purposes so they were just combined. I guess Bhutan would be small too. But then when I see Portuguese Timor, I feel like they could have been included. I mean its not a big deal of course. I was just curious. Im super excited to play. I'll be able to player later this month so ready
