Heavy wind blowing the rain sideways against the windows of the house and the water was running in all the windows and we had all the towels in the house on the floor to stop the flood. A big hassle at the time but no real damage except a couple banana trees going over.

You have a problem With the loud Tin roof during the rain.. I rented my unit, my simple under 2k peso fix was.going to ace hardware. Buying several meters of the plastic with foil installation. Added to the underneath of the roof. Before I looked and plugged any Pinpoint holes and areas by the screws to prevent any leaks. After the installation..the NOISE LEVEL AS WELL the heat level was reduced. Both me and my children were able to sleep SO SOUNDLY without any further Loud noise. Try this
