In the transcription for band, the inner voices can be heard more clearly. Listen to the University of Michigan Symphony Band under Revelli on TH-cam perform this piece.
I love Tom Koopman, but this is not his finest performance. The start is marked by Bach "Tres Vistement" - not just fast, but VERY fast - and Bach was a virtuoso. Koopman plods along at 19 bars per minute, 50% slower than modern interpretations like Stuart Neame's, which dances along at 29 bars per minute. But listen to Koopman's other performances, many of which are wonderful!
Fabio Gagliardi Too bad you don't like it, because this is going to be the new standard of music interpretation for the next decades. I'm thankful to Koopman, Savall and Harnoncourt for restoring Bach's music to their original colourfulness, and I'm glad that the times of Karl Richter, with his beige and grey interpretations are once and for all dead and will soon be forgotten.
Maestro Tom Koopman is a great conductor but a marvellous interpreter of J.S.Bach organ work.. Just beautiful
Koopman is simply the best
All the majesty of the Lord in a piece of music. Believe me, this is the sound of Resurrection!
We had this brilliant music played in our St John's Cathedral yesterday by Jonathan Stamp, a young lad who sounded as professional as this !
fantastika
A wild dance of the senses ❤️
Koopman genio

Beautifully played. Melodious and so listenable. The
Processional for Prince George's christening at St. James Palace in London 23rd October, 2013.
Bela obra!
WUNDER !!! Tepper Michael.
Best chord in the world @ 6:30
Was this 6.34?
Where is he from?
Musique divine! Il faudrait la jouer avec moins de vitesse, avec plus de majestueusité.
accroches toi pour trouver une version parfaite!... mais là il maîtrise! ...

I Love Koopman, but not allways, not in this performance.
