Back in 2004 I bought a chassis dyno; I had a dream to be an engine tuner. I pretty much went broke and it took me years to dig myself out of that hole. This information wasn't freely available and it's a very steep learning curve. Hopefully that short story gives you an indication on how valuable this information is to me.
We're hear to help and so glad to hear we're hitting the mark for you. Your short story there is one of the reasons why HPA was started. Glad you're on the other side of it now and while knowing what you know now you might have made other choices at the time I'm sure there are things that you learnt in life, business and tuning that you wouldn't otherwise have - Taz.
Have you had any experience with the AEM X-Series OBDII Wideband AFR Controller Gauge 30-0334 ? It states being able to work with the HPTuners software. I asked a tuner about this gauge but they said the wideband data can't be logged in real time. I am a bit confused wether it works or not.
Could you make a video on tuning with hp tuners, when switching from a internal wastegate from oem to external waste-gate big turbo , been trying to dial in my turbosmart compgate 40 with gen 2 gtx3076r .63 ar on a 08 cobalt ss .
Sometimes you have to just try a few times before it will connect if you haven't already. Otherwise you just need to do a sanity check on all the simple things and let HP Tuners know beyond that if it just still won't work. Sometimes posting on their forum is quicker than direct help - Taz.
Goddam I can’t wait till I can understand and can utilize this lingo I started taking the classes Ben, I’m a big fan, and I hope I’ll be able to soon use the MPVI2+ pro I wanna learn as much as I can before I flash my vehicle and potentially cause a lot of damage. In this past week of taking the classes I’ve learned to use rho and pi, to calculate air fuel ratio and a bunch of other things. I’m really looking forward to what these classes hold for me in the future. I truly hope they teach me everything I need to know, maybe I can open a HIgh performance shop here in Michigan USA
Yes you need to learn before you begin to help you start the right way, but don't get analysis paralysis either, as you do have to dive in and start cutting your teeth to get experience at some point. Having a healthy fear or things going wrong is good internal motivation to take your time and get it right though, excited for you mate! - Taz.

Glad we could help mate! Happy tuning - Taz.

I have one and it work fine with VCM scanner. I have a video showing how to connect it to the Torque App.
Did you have to do a user defined when using serial cable?
