How to Check iPad Battery Health Without Computer

  • For some reason, Apple doesn't include battery health percentage on the iPad and you're not able to find it easily. In this video, I go over one very clever method on how you can check it out on your own without any third party app or software and without computer. Later in the video, there's also a method using mac app.
    Hope this trick helps you.

My 1st gen iPad Pro from 2016 is at 92 and honestly I’m pretty surprised. Sometimes it feels like the battery is being drained quicker but I think I just get absorbed and lose track of time. Thanks for this! Very helpful:)

Just got mine in the mail today. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U The corners of the box was a little smashed but I think that’s more of the shipping’s fault. iPad was in perfect condition though. I ordered the yellow one thinking it was going to be a bright vibrant color. Instead I looks like more of a Gold color. I personally prefer the gold look. Definitely not disappointed but just a heads up to the ones expecting a brighter cream of yellow.

Yeah I don’t know why it’s working for some. Do you have all analytics settings turned on? You need to have all analytics settings turned on including share analytics for a certain amount of time, not just a day. And then they say it should show up in a certain amount of time. I’m trying it now because mine didn’t show up either. I read on Reddit it really did work for some people and not for others.

Thanks for this - I just went straight to using the CoconutApp which was easier than the analytics route (for me). This was great as I had just bought an iPad secondhand. Both of my iPads said about 97% ish. I called Apple to run their diagnostics and they said they were both 100% on their systems but I doubt that could be the case as they are both 2019/2020 so I think 97% seems a bit more accurate/likely. Either way, nothing to fuss about really and good to know these have both lasted well.

I have a 1st generation iPad Pro that my late grandpa bought for me 6 years ago as a surprise gift back in October 19th 2016 when my 1st Gen iPad Pro was 11 months old at that time, and it also shows me just that battery percentage display there instead of showing me it’s maximum capacity a.k.a. True battery age’s health too 6:41.
It’s old as hell despite it’s operating system now at iPadOS 15.6 as of Wednesday 8-17-2022 of course, one whole week ago on Wednesday 8-10-2022: it’s battery was down at 33% and I plugged it in to charge up on Wednesday morning, I come back to check on Wednesday night and it’s battery back on 100%, so I unplug it and put back in my bedroom and I left it unused for a whole week just to ask myself and wonder if I either need to get an Apple Store professional to fix my 1st Gen iPad Pro’s battery problem or if maybe I should start upgrading my iPad Pro to it’s newest younger generation with a longer battery lifespan, so I come back to check on my unplugged 1st generation iPad Pro one whole week later since I unplugged it from it’s battery charger when it finished reaching that 100 battery percentage, and it already went down to being at 12% after I had unplugged it and left it unused for a week, and I’m back to charging up again, plus I had just changed my iPad Pro battery charge alarm schedule from once a week on Wednesday to every Monday and Friday from now on.
But reflecting on how old my 1st generation iPad Pro is now since my late grandpa got it for me as a surprise gift on October 19th 2016, as well as since he later passed away 3 years ago on January 19th 2019 as I look back on those two things now, I’m starting to wonder more so than ever before if I should get an Apple Store professional to fix or replace my 1G 12.9 inch iPad Pro’s battery after it’s finished charging up to 100% again or if its time I should start looking into upgrading from an old iPad Pro generation of yesteryear to a newer and most recent iPad Pro generation of today’s day and age whatsoever… do you the uploader of this video or anyone else in this comment section have any advice on what I should do with my now almost 7 year old 1G 12.9 inch iPad Pro these days as of Wednesday August 17th 2022 of this comment of course?

I'm currently using iPad Air 2 and it has 95.89% battery. I'm the third owner (or may be fourth). My advise to keep the iPad battery healthy is- don't use fast charger ( Use 5W charger if possible), don't overcharge your iPad, don't drain it below 10%, Don't let it overheat. Btw my iPad is more than 6 years old.

Why would someone think you can’t officially replace the battery on an iPad? So what is Apple doing then when you go for a iPad battery replacement for $99?
Back in the day I replaced my iPad Air 2’s battery myself.
And your battery is over 100% because when they make the battery they can’t make it exactly so many mah. So they get as close as possible without going under the specified mah rating. Some software can see the extra and some just sees that it’s at least the specified mah so it says 100%.
