What I need now is a juiced up compound bow, with better close range melee weapons. Along with the throwing knife, the ultimate stealth set will be complete. Compound bow should have a split shot and triple shot for Terminids; they can take from Horizon arrow loading, which I feel would be super fun when running from Terminids etc.
Bow sounds dope. I'm really hoping they eventually make throwing knife a secondary with retrievable ammo so you can still use stuns. I was also really hoping you'd be able to hit a Hulk in the eye and kill it, but I guess that was a little too cool for them.
Just got done watching a video that was saying they were inaccurate and alerted enemies anyway. Their gameplay involved crouching behind a rock in front of a group of infantry and throwing one straight at them. It was hilariously bad, you could tell they still have no idea how enemy detection mechanics work at all. Glad to see someone who actually knows what they're doing demonstrating exactly what I thought they were capable of. It looks like they do throw a bit to the left though, as many things in this game do...
just watched the same video when you call these things out their fans usually come foaming at the mouth haha. Same thing happened with the mechs. these guys are in such a rush to get content out they don't take the time to learn the kit. How can you possibly have figured out all the mechanics in 24 hours or less. have things click even now after 6 months and 100 plus levels.
Lmao i literally just watched that same video right before this one 😂😂😂 the rush to release “content” has these guys putting out blatantly false information because they don’t actually take the time to really understand the new stuff in game
really all we need now is being able to melee while your grenade slot is out and a… *436-CBA Compound Bow* *Silently* fires powerful, reinforced arrows, capable of piercing *Medium Armour* with *Low Stun.* Arrows can hit three targets and be retrieved before breaking and needing to be replaced. Has a limited quiver of *6 arrows* (5 arrows * 3 retrieves = effectively 18 arrows). Due to its sluggish speed, low stun and powerful punch, the 436-CBA Compound Bow is best utilized in stealth scenarios where enemy units must be taken out silently with only one shot. Additionally, the Compound bow has a special drawback mechanic; aiming draws the bow back and due to restrictions on human physique, will be let loose after 8 seconds, however this mechanic is counteracted by the (new) “Peak Physique” Armour Perk, extending it to 16 seconds.
Awesome, except when I throw a knife (or even a thermite now for that matter) it goes WAAAY to the left of my target.. idk if its a bug and what causes it but holy shit I literally cant hit anything despite being aimed directly at it.
Yeah it's been going well. Past month or so has been a bit rough because of Dev decisions but this last patch seemed to be going in the right direction. I'm really excited for Elden Ring though.
If you hit your shots, it can be incredible. The ability to take out enemies without alerting others is a nice perk even if you want to play aggressive. It one shots any devastator to the head and can 2 shot striders to the body. Being able to take out fabricators is what does it for me though. Definitely going to be be using it more often.
Various weapons can one-shot them on a head shot. Looks like a well placed knife deals as much as my Diligence Counter Sniper (or less but still enough to get the kill)
Not sure what they have cooking but it's possible. I wouldn't expect it too soon but I can see them doing it down the line considering the smoke mechanic they added in the game.
Tried this exact combo but all the enemies just aggro'd anyway and called a bot drop, despite me never being in LOS. Glad to see it works like it should for some people though. The headshot on the devastator was 10/10
If an enemy sees another one getting attacked, it will go on combat alert. Alert enemies will also alert nearby inactive ones to search. Once alerted they will never return to their lowest alert state.
All my hopes for the throwing knives were squashed in this upd, I wanted a stealthy grenade that you could reuse after use but got a really bad grenade only used for looking cool
I'm going to be honest this loadout works on any difficulty except helldive. The spawn rates especially of those new gunships is INSANE. Literally a 4-Gunship patrol every 2-3 minutes
Lol, how'd you get so few enemies (and no strong ones) on level 9? That looked like a level 5 outpost lol. You didn't even get patrol spawns walking up behind you as you approached.
If you check my channel I only used throwing knives in Cyberpunk haha. When I heard they were adding this I knew my entire playstyle was about to change
@@Suhayl_Khatib The crosshair is so far off that really the only way to get better is to practice with it. There's not many tips I can give because of how horrible the aiming is with it, you just have to learn how to judge throws quickly.
the fact you can't pick them up is infuriating. You'd think in exchange for AOE damage which imo is far better and inability to close bug holes and bot fabricators without needing to bring a support weapon or grenade pistol you'd get more then just, silent takedowns and double the throwing items. btw you can destroy bot fabricators with explosives if you just lob them throw the door when it opens no needs to only aim for the vents.
They weren't alerted so they had no reason to call one. I think that's the purpose of the throwing knife. To be silent. It's actually impressive that it manages to one hit a Heavy Devastator.
They weren't alerted so didn't call it in. But the throwing knife and crossbow are both really quiet so you can clear full bases if you play it right. The build is really fun to use. It takes a little bit to get used to the throwing knife though. The crosshair is way off.
The only thing insane here is your aim with those things. Apart for killing a charger on 4 leg hits these things have nothing going for them except style points.
Can we not pick up the knives after throwing them? That's pretty dumb... Like really dumb. How did nobody think to make them something you can pickup from an enemy corpse? That would be perfect for stealth.
Yeah it kinda sucks that you can't pick them up. You do get all of them back from 1 supply pack though, so if you run the support backpack you should never run out.
if you play with supply pack, you have 40 knives to work with. Combine it with the crossbow and you can have some really solid stealth gameplay. It's also very fun to use.
