    Thanks for the report! The 3-3-3 configuration sounds really tight on an A330 but at least you survived ;) Good memories from KUL, hopefully my home carrier Finnair opens an A350 route there one day..

      Thanks! AirAsia X is a budget airline, so the tight seating configuration is expected. And hopefully I'll get the chance to fly with Finnair as well. 😁

    I miss transiting in KL when I used to fly with AirAsia pre-COVID. Also AirAsia is actually quite nice if you can tolerate their seats... the food choice is wide and taste unbelivably tasty

    Gorgeous review. Sad that your plane had a techinal issue, but it had been solved, and you had quite a great long haul flight on AirAsia X.

      Thanks. It was quite a pleasure flying long-haul with AirAsia X. And as always, in the world of aviation, safety is top priority. Kudos to the D7222 crew who decided to abandon departure and fix the issue rather than risk hundreds of lives.

      I hope you don't experience the same thing as I did 😃. But occasionally some things can happen unexpectedly (eg. weather, technical fault, unattended luggage). The best is just to be prepared for the worst case scenario. You may never know what may happen.
      Other than that, have a safe & pleasant trip to Japan! 😁🇯🇵

    • @aarontheaviationaddict3643
      @aarontheaviationaddict3643  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah...but at least Malaysia Airlines still serves the KL - Auckland route. Also, if you watch a lot of videos by AirForceProud95, you'll probably understand the meaning of "butter". Basically in the world of aviation, it means a very smooth/greasy landing.

    A 3-3-3 configuration on an A330 is usually unheard of. Other A330s are usually in a 2-4-2 configuration

    • @aarontheaviationaddict3643

      Yup. AirAsia X is a budget airline, so it uses a denser seating configuration.

      Actually, the 2-4-2 configuration is also the normal configuration for the A330-300. But since AirAsia X is a low-cost airline, it decides to use the denser 3-3-3 configuration on its A333s.

    • @rogan177
      @rogan177 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      AaronTheAviationAddict oh. I thought the 300 was only 333 because when I go on 343/300 it is always 333 even though it’s not budget.
