OK HI THIS IS SO HELPFUL. like no really. I've been consuming tons of zero waste videos and none of them do it like you've done in this video. To see it actually lived; you asking for them to put your juice in the hydroflask, going to mothers to get them to weigh the jars. It's so comprehensive for people who need to be visually shown and hearing how to ask for everything once you have the zero waste products. Hannah this is amazing. Keep making these please!

I really enjoyed this so much. I pretty much never sit through videos like this because I get bored and get the feeling of “why am I watching someone else’s life that I don’t know” but that didn’t happen with this and I loved every second.

Hannah, I really love your style of videos. A lot of healthy-living youtuber's videos make them sound like they are perfect and they only eat grass and have never looked at plastic. I appreciate that you aren't perfect. You are so relatable and make me want to make changes in my life that are both good for me and the planet.

I love this style of vlogs. So efficient (which as a German, I approve of very much!)
Also, I really appreciate raising awareness for producing less waste and that it all starts with small steps and even if it is not possible for a lot of us to cut out all waste it is still worth to make an effort like using jars at the bulk section and bringing your own jar/bottle to coffee shops and juice places.
The way you narrated this day in a life was oddly satisfying, I've never seen one done like this.. I loved it
You are seriously a person everyone needs in their life. One of my sons is napping, the other is being bathed by my husband, and you were 4 minutes of pure recharge and smiles. ~THANK YOU~
Listening to your zero waste podcast - so great! For one thing it's a reminder and we all need reminders like when your sister keeps at you to be mindful of what you're doing and what you're using - it irritated you, but it reminded you and that got you more focused on eliminating waste before you thought you were ready. Convicted people are like that - a little irritating, but then when you get on board and you think back to when they were always harping you're happy they're like that! Looking forward to updates and things you will learn about zero waste as you get more focused on it (i.e. our garbage company wants all regular garbage - not recycling - bagged even though we were given covered bins for pick up. I'd like to throw the garbage into the bin without sacrificing bags. Tens of millions of people have bagged garbage every week and it's mostly plastic!). Enjoying your vlogs a lot.

I have watched you sister for awhile and never thought to click on your videos, I'm SO happy I did your style is so different and so easy to watch
I'm so serious in saying that I had NO idea there's plastic that's considered non-recycleable (I'm sure that's not a word). I grew up in a very small town and until I graduated high school in 2007 our municipality didn't even offer recycling pick up. I now live in Japan and they have a very robust recycling program and I honestly am attracted to the idea of zero waste for convenience sake! Thanks for the blog & I can't wait to hear the podcast!

Hannah, I had been watching Ellen's Videos for years and just started watching yours/listening to your podcast. You ladies are both wonderful and inspirational. I didn't realize until listening to a podcast episode that we both grew up in Orange County and went to Vanguard! I am also a teacher but I teach much smaller humans and I collect a variety of hobbies. I hope you are having a great time in France!
Ginger tea! I was actually drinking some as I watched. If your bulk section has dried ginger, you can get that and put it in your hot water and remove the ginger once your water turns to tea, because that's actually all that's in those little tea bags. Dried ginger usually does have sugar curing, though. You can also pour it over sliced fresh ginger if you want to avoid that sugar, and the flavor is stronger and spicier. Zero waste and it tastes better, IMO! Takes about 4-6 minutes to steep. And if you want to peel the ginger, just scrape the skin off with a spoon. Much easier than a knife.

Hannah! im so psyched to see you and ellen get into the zero waste movement! ive been following you guys for a while and it feels kinda neat when someone that inspires you starts becoming interested in something you're attempting as well. does that make sense? is it weird to say? oh well. i've been zero waste-ish since this past january. it's been challenging at times but the community is pretty awesome and iv'e been attempting to chronicle my discoveries here on youtube and instagram. i've got a video on how to make your own bulk bags- i find it's a lot easier than lugging jars around and the whole taring business. are you crafty?.... or do you have crafty friends? anyway, the video's great, im excited to see what all you get up to next.

At first I was thinking "this is going too fast!!" but after 1.5 minutes I realized my brain could handle it. I like the honesty of starting to be more conscious of your plastic / waste and realizing there's plastic EVERYWHERE even when you're trying to do everything you can think of!!

Awesome video, it was so creative the way you narrated it. I don't know if you are aware (as I wasn't a little while ago) but tea bags are actually lined with plastic. Maybe if you have access to loose tea leaves you could try buying that instead in the future. Also thank you for talking about the wooden toothbrush, I am going to buy one (or order one online).
