- Life is full of special moments, open your eyes, open your mind and most of all, open your heart, you will see. I found this video online, I did not film it but I thought it was so special I had to put a song behind it. To me, the female Lab is trying so hard to befriend the child. The boy is cautious but curious at the same time. The person who filmed the original video contacted me in January 2013 She is the mom, her name is Ana, her sons name is Hernan, and the dogs name is Himalaya. Watch when the dog puts her paw on the boys shoulder as if to say, I love you, everything will be ok. If your heart doesn't melt your not human. FYI: THE TEXT in the video was INSPIRED BY a beautiful little DS girl I met. She said to me "God didn't make a mistake when he made me" and her daddy told her, she was a "Gift from God". I REPEAT THIS WAS A QUOTE FROM A LITTLE DS GIRL. I had to edit the video to fit the song but its all original content and BTW this is my first VIDEO edit. I have watched this for a few years now and I still cry... Being a person with a disability sometimes animals are the only ones who will ever love you.
I understand. My wife and I are both considered to be totally and permanently disabled due to spinal cord issues. Those in our respective families think we are both fine and that nothing is wrong with us. They turned their backs on us. So we turned our backs on them. We now have two golden retrievers who are both certified therapy and companion animals. Merrylynn, nobody understands unless they're going through it themselves - sadly. Sorry to ramble. Just wanted to say that I feel the exact same way about animals. Hang in there!

That dog tried so hard to break down the barrier with the toddler. The young fella was not too sure but the dog did not give up. In the end the toddlers went all in for the full hug❤. You are right, God does NOT make mistakes in either His human creations or His animal creations. Each is there as an opportunity for us to practice LOVE❤

My brother’s wife’s uncle he’s the same but we treat him as equal, he says he’s John cena so we play with him and named him cena.
That kid actually looked sad, and that dog had the intelligence and heart to comfort the boy. That's amazing.

It's a lab thing...labs are naturally keen on picking up on the emotions of people and responding how they think will be pleasing. I've had 2 and they both did it.
Never give up anyone. There is hope. Hope for us all. Goodness will always prevail. When the little boy reached out and gave the dog a hug I broke down.
Dogs are extremely intuitive. They detect emotion/body language very well and can understand if someone is having trouble communicating. I love how the dog rolled over on to its side while sticking out its paw, as if to reassure the child that it wasn’t being aggressive.
That was one of the coolest things I have seen in my 55 years of life.

My dog did that to me once. Shes passed on now. She was a mother dog.. it was one of the darkest moments of my life and i went for a walk late at night to clear my head with her. I broke down, tears and everything, fell to my knees.. My dog put her paw on my shoulders.. held her for half an hour after that.. Dogs are beautiful.

I believe, a lot of dogs have a 6th sense. My golden doodle is always on patrol when the grandkids come over for a swim. For some reason if small kids are in the pool he goes in a whole different mode. Also, he’s always closest to the smallest kid. It is the coolest thing to watch him guard and protect any one in the pool especially small children. Dogs are the best

I'm so tired of comments like "animals have better humanity than human" under videos like this. Like hello? Animals do not have a complex consciousness and do not have the intelligence like we do, if dogs were intelligent and sentient beings like humans they would do evil things as well, that is part and parcel of being an intelligent species.

@@93hothead The only ones I've met love everyone and everything and love life in particular. I've never heard of one being suicidal, although I'm not discounting the possibility. One who I delivered meals on wheels to was suffering from dementia and depression, but he was older (mid 50s).

There is nothing wrong with using the word 'ones' in this context. This overly sensitive trying desperately hard to find issues BS has to stop. Get a life finding real issues to target because there are increasing numbers of people getting sick to death of putting up with that nonsense. I will continue to use the word 'ones'.
