I genuinely hope System Blue or Vic Firth comes out with a drum set cam this year. It’s just too sexy, I need to see the book played in all of its beauty.
My only issue with the show is I can't hear the battery for the life of me. Snare's sound paper thin, Tenors are barely there, and the Bass sound is basically non-existent. Could just be this recording.
It seems to be most likely due to the recording equipment being right in front of the speakers, especially since the cymbal hits and vocals come through and cover like nobodies business
bryan harris I was feeling the same way. I’m pretty sure it’s just that the mic is in the front of the ensemble so it’s picking up the front ensemble more than the battery.
Waiting for those System Blue Vans to drop
By far my favorite show so far this year. Something about this jazzy atmosphere is just MMM so gud
I love how the voice over announces words like "ascending VERse" and "unreHEARsed"
Is the vocals a spoken word poem? I want to be able to find it
It is a spoken word poem, written specifically for our show this year (:
The drumset player isn't getting enough love. Homey is Groov'N!
For some reason this show brings me back to some older RCC shows
4:18 in person that funky keyboard part gives me chills

DatK9 hey I got you! wait till Dayton my dude
Michael Leto woo! Awesome man. Thanks!
its up!
Bless this line!!! Love this show
They are all wearing vans . That’s lit
Honestly it’s probably because one of their snares works for vans, they probably got a discount.
Dig this show so much
I don't like jazz, but this is the best wgi show, hands down
Sheesh. I think they got it this year.
shaqloco good call ;)
Thank you TH-cam. Just watching this video for first time. Great. Loved the trumpet. Who is the player?
Yea guy got cut wasn’t good enough they said he’s my friend
@@alexwilson2268 he was never cut
Trumpet player is Chris Chervet.
NOOT NOOT for friends
Please give the cymbal and Bass lines more limelight, it's not all about snares and Quints...
mmmmm i don't think so haha. just messing with you tho. don't take offense.
I’d love to see those drums with chrome hardware, but blue devils have used the back powder coated for ever now
Strong jagged line vibes
Wait, what happened to the bass 1 in finals?
Got kicked out due to sexual assault allegations (I forget if they were actually proven or anything, but I’m pretty sure the person was convicted).
anyone know the source of the voiceover at the beginning???
Regua out there "feeding the geese"
I didn't know casey neightstat played snare for rcc
Their using the system blue drums
Slightly disappointed they got rid of the hi-mom on the brushes but whatever
Did one of the shares get cut?? I noticed there’s only 7 of them
now steven takeda herw

bryan harris system blue drums maybe

its also a thing called dynamics

4:59 you could hear the trumpet mess up
1:44
*V A N S*
SO tasty.
only 7 snares?
Jorgè Lopez one quit they would’ve had 8
But why 8 and not 9 like they usually do?
James Philips wait why did he quit
But why were they going to do 8 again after doing 9 for 6 years?
James Philips who had to quit
It’s cool, but it doesn’t really speak to me
