@@nismo29 yeah but it's some of the most basic warmups for battery. This stuff is what I tell my 8th graders to play and work on with a met. At their level and with how long this is and considering the hundreds of times they've probably played all this even before they joined the group, it's gotta be super hard to concentrate and not get bored.
Definitely were some errors in the very beginning with the 8th note timing stuff, but this helps build mental discipline to stay locked in for long periods of time. I might start adding this to my daily routine.
the mental aspect/difficulty of this can't be underestimated. especially when there's so much space and similarity between phrases. this is 1000X harder than it looks.
Gonna be honest, after my injury and finger getting tendonitis. This has been one of the absolute best warm up sequences i've seen. It's been very helpful with regaining my strength again. Now the next step would be to mark time to it.
This is an amazing exercise for the short intention span generation. Not only do they have to stay engaged but they have to subdivide in their heads so their brain is constantly working. I love this
If you’re gonna dog on others, at least don’t look dumb yourself… it’s “attention span” not “intention,” now we all know you don’t know what either means
@@mannymanatee6592 I don’t think he was intending to come off as rude in this. This sequence was designed solely to warm up our minds just like he said

Man this is forever!! Shout out to whoever put this together at Mandarins! Great transcription! And another video from Rbass! As a former marcher and continued instructor I would’ve shut it down when I saw some drummers relaxing more at the fulcrum then others. But obviously they know what they’re doing, and this during the season, and it’s a full run and we’re not cutting full runs lol. But yea just that close up had me like “CUT!!! I thought we were gonna all play the same technique?? Come on my friends, I know it’s a forever sequence but we defeating the purpose of we’re not gonna play the same technique. Yea we might get the notes right but we for sure not sounding the same playing all different. Let’s run it back, concentrate a little more and we got this! Met!!!” 😂😂😂
Just fyi before anybody hates, the drummers killed it! I was just speaking from that pov. Always loved Mandarins and have had a few of my students March there so it’s all love
I haven't played in ions, and I had a fantastic time for the for time in 23+ years sight reading this session, you guys'💪🙏 rock is there any way that I can have a sheet of this sequence for my personal studies, I will make sure I make a video of my playing from memory, 💯💯🙏
90% of these are stock exercises that almost all drummers know after a few years in drumline. A lot of them follow the 4-2-1 pattern. The only thing difficult in the memorization, I imagine, would be remembering the order of the exercises.
The number of ads you have in this video makes it so easy to play along, man. JFC. Not a min in...ad pops up. Have to throw down sticks to skip. Over and over. Ridiculous. There are plenty of practice videos without ads scattered throughout the playing sequence.👎🙄
TH-cam is currently forcing ads onto videos longer than 15 minutes, so it is not the creators fault. The TH-camr barely profits off of the ads too so it’s not like they have any benefit to it.
@WaffleIGuess I understand they themselves dont put ads in. There are lots of other practice videos that are long that dont have this many ads. And even when there are, they are not placed in such a way that they pop up in the middle of playing. This is by far the worst one I have ever seen as far as a "practice/play along" video is concerned. I know it is TH-cam and not the channel. Still, absolutely ridiculous. Neary ruins the entire video if you want to play along.
@@BeatKid9000 yes, but since this one was extended it was designed to wake us up and then we’d proceed to our normal warmup sequence. Kinda like a mind then hands approach
This is absolutely brutal length wise. Props to them for being able to stick through all of that and stay engaged!
haha stick through
Yeah and most of it is super boring to play when you're that experienced.

wow ... this drumline is the pinnacle of focus... so freaking impressive
Extended periods of focus. This is such a cool warmup style, Thanks for making this
The fact they took the time to learn that and not even make one mistake in perfect synchrony. Wow that’s dedication.
As a trumplet player, I'm completely invested. I'm going to grab the sticks and practice pad now.
As you should.
As a trumplet player too, I’ve learned almost 2 pages of it!
Man, I got an ad before this exercise was even halfway done.
Major props to the concentration and control of these performers!!
I got several throughout the entire warm-up. Awesome.
"Alright lets do it again"
Thanks for the sheets!

There's no such thing as a warm-up being "beneath" a player. This isn't meant to be anything but a slow start to a long day.
The Womanardins folded because this video was gay.
