Thank you very much Maz for taking the time to comment. I appreciate the kind words and that this review helped you make an informed decision. This is a great display and was sad to see it packed up to go back haha! thanks for watching, E
I've been able to test the TCL range for a couple of years and recommend it for sure. Both brands are that mid range TV cost but I use the TCL Mini LED daily and can say I enjoy it for both gaming and movies
I’m extremely excited for my 75” 855 to arrive. Been a week waiting and waiting another, the retailer I bought from is waiting for tcl to send them stock. Should be here end of next week, upgrading from Samsung Q80r 55”. Uk based
@@TeamRetrothat’s such a shame! The TV does look wonderful, I’m glad the up scaling is good on these, got a gbsc and ossc for the retro stuff haha. What would you say is the best game mode settings for games in general for the most detailed hdr image on ps5 and on non hdr like switch. I play a bit of everything. Thank you :)
@@Callum-tm6xo Just make sure Game Master Mode is on (generally I toggle this on and off because I watch a lot of films either via streaming or disc). Then I prefer the original game picture mode but it can also depend on the game I'm playing on the PS5 - Original for Astro Bot and FPS for MW3 (this TV got me right back into CoD actually). Literally what I do love about the range is that I can adjust the settings to suit what I'm playing or go with the default settings and have Game Master Mode on auto so it does all of it for me (out of the box settings are great - I just like to tweak things when playing certain games plus im competitive with shooters). I swear it is such a great feature - if you grab one of these tellys you won't be disappointed. ~ Emily
@@Callum-tm6xo Great no problem. I sit on the right side (when facing the tv on the chase) in our lounge room. No issues and over on Instagram there are some 9:16 videos on my feed to showcase up-close and in the room as well.
1st aussie review I've seen, thank you fot it, may I ask what you're experiencing with a youtube SD black videos vs it's HDR counter part, once you try it change the black level down by 1 and let me know your experience also disney+ pray minute 19 to 20 via your PS5. tv performance fantastic but running the PS5 the software clash is crazy more suited to the xbox but your experiencing might be different, im running an 85inch c855,
Hey Julz. This TV was on loan and returned to TCL Australia so I can not run further tests. I can say we didn't have any software and PS5 clashes. I did ensure when I watched films via the PS5 (Blu-ray or 4K UHD discs) that I turned off game mode (and didn't set it to auto either). Personally, it doesn't bother me making these adjustments on the fly based on the content I'm watching if overall it makes the experience better. Some movies looked better in different picture modes which we discussed in both C755 and C855 reviews. If you have any other questions perhaps reach out to the TCL social media accounts they are super friendly and I'm sure able to help out if you need it.
You'll have to drill down on the specs to decide what is right for you. The premium is worth the extra money though and is brighter. Thanks for watching
I wonder if this TV is better than Hisense U8N. I hate how Hisense has put the VIDAA OS on the European version. This TCL TV is near impossible to find for purchase in Germany. The ones Ive seen cost 3500 euros which is definitely not correct.
I have been watching a lot of videos on this tv and as far as I can tell it is. US=MQ8 . EU=X955 . AU=C855. As far as I can tell these are the same. There may be differences because of region but why that is I do not know.
So pretty much the the C755 & C855 are pretty good but a couple of things that are different between them I looked at both again today I’d be mostly watching normal tv & movies, dvds & I would like the experience to feel like your at Hoyts watching a movie & sound On a budget the C755 would that be the way to go ? Not unless the C855 comes down in price a bit more
On a budget the C755 is the best choice here. If you have a bit more to work with then the C855 is an upgrade. As I've said to other viewers, you won't be disappointed with either TV. I liked my time with both of them. I did think that the C855 was super bright though and some content I turned the brightness down. Thanks for watching.
ADS panel has better viewing angle but lower in contrast. I'm still haven't decide which one to go, 75 inch C855 or U8N. My new apartment getting ready by December 2024
Thank you for watching. I haven't been hands on with the Sony's in 2024. I can recommend TCL Mini LED as a stand out offering for the price and they are kinda hard to beat. If there is a store you can go into to check out in person would be my next best bet for you to do. Again, appreciate the comment and time watching our video.
I haven't had much hands on time with the U8N from Hisense so I can't compare. Personally, I use a TCL Mini LED C845 75inch daily and highly recommend the range C845/C755 and C855 75inch to anyone. Thanks for watching.
I've heard great things about the Samsung displays but not been hands on with them. I can only comment on my experience with testing to review the C855. In my opinion it is a great display and has fantastic specs for the price. Watching all types of content is great and I utilised the picture settings to enhance what I was watching i.e. sports mode, game master mode or movie mode when watching specific things. Great display a lot of people in the comments have gone to get one (plus family / friends of mine ) have all loved it when they set theirs up. Thanks for watching.
Just got the c855 in Romania for 1500 USD 75" :) for 3000 USD I could have got the 98" version but it's too big for my needs. Had an offer for an LG G4 77" for 2500UD but I did not find the difference to be worth it as the room I will use it will be bright and I do not want to deal with OLED burn-in. Long live Black Friday discounts.
I do cover watching movies in the review and highly recommend it. Some of the older blu-rays I own looked amazing on this TV when in different picture modes than movie too. Mallrats was a great example because it is a much older film now. Ambulance tested great as well and it upscaled to 4K and looked just as good.
The first video I decided not to show the remote on 😂As I don't own this TV I can not share a photo of it (it was returned to the brand). Remote looks similar to previous TCL models in the past two years.
