@markhart6743 had mine a week or so now, and got to say that when set up, it looks stunning. The black levels are awesome, and hdr looks great. Very happy with it. Seemed to get better as the week went on. And 2 yr warranty! Big brands have a lot to worry about.
Thank you so much for the review! It was me who asked to review this TV) Purchased it recently. The TV is a great value for money. Personally, don't like notifications when increase the brightness and the location of ports when it hangs on the wall. (Hello from Belarus!)
Ive sold tcl for the last 3 years, the one thing weve noticed as a company is thst we get a lot more faulty tcls bsck over the first few months than any other brand we stock, LG, sony, Samsung. These reviews never take into account long term reliability.
One of the best reviews I've seen. Quality of information is definitely improving more and more. Is this the same as the C855 from Australia? I'm extremely tempted to get the C855. I'm from Australia but can't find any reviews on that exact tv.
In New Zealand ✋ Just purchased the 85 C855, couldn’t find any reviews either but saw it in store and looked amazing. Waiting for delivery but will provide some feedback when it arrives!
I just bought the 85 inch. So far its been pretty awesome. I haven't had to adjust the settings like my old Samsung (having said that I am sure it can be tweaked better). I use it for Foxtel, Netflix and Xbox. The old 75 inch Samsung used to cop a lot of glare in the late arvo which made playing Call of Duty hard as there were sections of screen that I just couldnt see clearly. This tv is phenominal for games. So bright and clear and the dark sections still stand out. I would never thought I would buy a "cheap Chinese tv". The only issue I have is that my Logitech remote that has programed activities that turned all devices to the right setting doesn't work with this tv. So its a few more clicks over 2 remotes now.
Could you also go into detail on blooming in the full review please, As im looking to buy this as my next tv I am interested in how good/bad it is. The blooming on my LG SK8500pla is terrible due to not many dimming zones. But the picture is stunning without HDR which really blows out the blooming.
great review. I bought the same TV in Russia. but I have a problem with dark spots on a monochrome screen, they are visible if you look at the screen from an angle. How are you doing with this?
I currently have the LG G1 65" and was considering a step up in size to 75" but that'll put the latest oled out of my price bracket. How do you think a larger c855k would fair against my G1?
i have the same tv, i came from a LG C9 OLED and the picture quality is stunning and the blacks are almost as good as the C9's but in my opinion the sound quality doesn't match the picture quaility so i purchased a sound bar, but for £1300 it Unbelievable
@@masomafYeah 👍🏽 OLED is the future, yes i have considered all posibilities even with older G3 model.. but those are still double the price and G4 almost 3x the price. Oleds in 75/77 sizes are too expensive {unless you buy older models but I need the newest tech for future proofing} > need the HDR brightness with excellent contrast with good gaming performance. I need to spend it carefully and wise > need to last 8 years like my B6 Just curious 🧐 how LEDsTV are performing these days

Other than that pictur quality wise and 4K@60 gaming on the B6 is absolutely perfect👌🏽. I badly want the new OLEDs but it must be 75/77"..outside my budget range range for now unfortunately. Like every year it will be a dumbed down version of the US model like the - QM8. TCL will claim it's virtually the same but it will have less dimming zones and menu options . Hisense do the same every year too (last year's U7K & u8k) and charge us more for less
Good day mate. I am coming from an LG TV. In LG TVs there is an option to play sound form the TV and bluetooth/optical at the same time. Is this possible for TCLs?

I have the c855, very good picture, brightness, is off the charts, I had to turn it down a bit, TCL and Hisense are climbing up the charts, and I can see in one to 2 years, dare I say, they will be neck and neck with samsung and LG, and your getting value for money, blooming, is nearly non-existent, you really have to go looking for it and I like dark movies, for my input, it gives Samsung a run for its money,
The only thing I don't like in this thing is the speed of the OS.With a better processing power this TV would be amazing.Yeah, forgot to mention that very cheap clicky remote.Oh no and they put that Arsenal logo on the box - AVOID!!!!!😂😂😂😂
u8n is better in some aspects. Better image processing, better motion clarity in movement, better scaling, better overall image cleanup, better blacks and contrast (qm851g vs u8nq, Rtings), better screen reflection treatment, better input lag for games (versus 65c855), little better powerful sound. I have 65c855 and if I had known this things I would have bought the u8nq, the 65c855 has less real nits than advertised and less than u8nq, poor image processing, poor scaling, poor moving clarity, poor overall cleanup images, some jerks depending on the source, etc. The only reason is Google TV versus Vidaa (in Europe). Also, the model here has 1344 zones (north america 2880😠) and u8nq 1600. Hisense takes more care of the details and image quality, too bad for TCL👎👎👎, TCL needs to wake up!😠 (Let's see if they fix any of this with a firmware update, but I doubt it.)
I have this in a 75. Best local dimming I've seen. No blooming and a cracking price. Not a oled killer but certainly gives them a run for there money.
