- I was learning some new Clash guitar riffs recently and thought I'd do a video on U.K. punk which has it's own sound compared with other scenes, like in the U.S. for example. I guess I probably missed a lot of obscure ones. Which are your favourites? Maybe later I'll do a U.S. version.

Teenage Kicks is a song that fills me with exuberant energy every time I hit play. Perfect pop punk song,if you would like to call it that
Yes it's sort of 'pop-punk' but has a proper punk energy to it if you know what I mean.
@@bloxsy_ Oh yeah, it has this lo-fi dirty sound to it still.
Same thing with early Ramones, the songs are very catchy,but lyrics and sound still retain that street level quality

Yeah X-Ray Spex have some great riffs. I actually thought this one here sounded a bit like a hard rock song, like Black Sabbath or something.

Needed that! There are certain songs that are just ‘there’, etched into your brain forever, whether just coz it’s a damn good tune or riff, or for circumstantial reasons … And you’ve just nailed three of mine - Suspect Device, Babylon’s Burning and Pretty Vacant. I can now have my Sunday afternoon nap safe in the knowledge that in this one tiny instance, all is good in my world. Cheers!

I got rid of it. It wouldn't stay in tune. It was really cool though and I liked the neck.

Maybe mine just wasn't set up right. It was during the lockdowns, and I was experimenting with guitars. I still love SGs though, I'd love to get another at some point.

They do overall all music better. Look at the classics Beatles, Sabbath, Floyd, Zep, even Hendrix had to travel over there for his career to take off. Page, Beck, and Clapton all from the same county. Something in that water for sure
