Thank you so much for this video, i just got my first 7.3 a couple weeks ago and ive been watching your videos for replacing my dieing injectors and now i have to pull the glow plugs because I know for sure my engine is going to hydrolock from oil getting into the cylinders.
Thank you, if you pull the glow plugs and crank the engine over to push the excess oil out make sure you set the valve covers on the heads otherwise your whole engine bay will be covered in oil ... thank you for watching
Thank you for the information. I noticed that when you pulled the first glow plug oil was dripping from the tip. Is that oil inbyhe olug cavity and going into the combustion chamber when removed? Could it cause a hydro lock?
@@josephdavison6967 yes that is oil that's in the cavity. And yes it does go into the cylinder but no this doesn't create a hydro lock. Hope this helps and thank you for watching
yes oil will seep into the cylinder, but it’s not a big deal. it would need a lot of oil to do anything major and it will just burn off when you start it anyways.
I have to replace the glow plugs in my e99 7.3. That trick with the hose to remove/install the glow plugs is a great idea!
It's the little tricks that makes the difference LOL ... thank you for watching
