    I remember when my boss had sold injector cups on one of these a while back after I recommended a diesel shop for them. He said he ordered the tools and I could do it...I got it done, but the first time is a bit nerve racking. Good tools are essential and patience.

    Made me very happy your using Liner sealer and not Red locktite like all the other TH-camrs do did you have to cut any seats for the cups there are some castings More so in the 6.0s that are just ugly I personally will cut 1-2 thousandths off as the cup do allow up to 3 cutting when needed makes it harder for any carbon to push up and under and lift the cup damaging the seal but all and all another prefect job I have to say and do you know how many people and techs do not know about the drain plugs I think you are the only one so far I have seen on TH-cam that has showed them ........I give you an A++ on this one

      Thank you Saer, I didn't cut the seat on the cups they looked very good and smooth. It's not hard to follow OEM directions on how to and what to use but some people like to cut corners. Might as well do it right while you are there doing it LOL ... thank you for watching my friend

    If I don't have fuel in my coolant do I still need to drain the coolant?

    • @CountryMileGarage
      @CountryMileGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes because you drain the coolant so it will not fill up the cylinders and helps to prevent you from hydro locking the engine. And it'll be easier to clean up and a better change of succeeding. But if you don't have diesel in your coolant why do you want to replace the injector cups ? Thank you for watching

    • @CountryMileGarage
      @CountryMileGarage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you have fuel in your coolant it's injector cups guaranteed. To find a crack in the cup it must be very bad or sometimes the cup comes out with the injector. Hope this helps and thank you for watching

    Hi i have engine 7.3 1996. but i have a problem. Frecuently be mix oil with diesel and change new orings and works again by some time. do you think that my cup is broken or need replace?

    • @CountryMileGarage
      @CountryMileGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Only symptom with cups is having fuel in the coolant. Oil in the fuel is O-rings. Did lube up the O-rings when you installed the injectors ? Or was there a injector that was harder to install than the others ?

    • @george2019

      @@CountryMileGarage I lubricated them and they only lasted a few months and again they have been damaged. why do you think it could happen? as a result of the damage it no longer ignites. last time changing the injector orings solved the problem but again it presents the failure. and I felt that the injectors entered very easily with the new orings.

      how would you describe a catastrophic injector cup failure?
      mine has broken #8 push rod ( from brief hydro-lock? )
      I replaced all the pushrods and the #8 injector. Let it warm up for the first time and i now see rising levels of diesel in the coolant. White smoke.
      Before replacing the injector, the smoke was black, had a hard stumble and there is black in the fuel filter.
      Lots of oil in the driver's side manifold.
      No detectable mechanical clatter while running and I now suspect the turbo is also bad.
      thank you!

    • @CountryMileGarage
      @CountryMileGarage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Push rods can bend because of a hydro-lock, always make sure there no liquids in the cylinders. Oil in the fuel filter blow is injector O-rings. Fuel in the coolant is injector cups and oil in intercooler pipes are signs of a bad turbo. Thank you for watching
