Gurdjieff: Ouspensky: Archive: Negative Emotions Again.

  • Gurdjieff never ever said anything about Negative Emotions, yet it is second in importance in Ouspensky's Teaching, and hence in the Gurdjieff Tradition.
    How has this happened ?

    The only way we can interact with the infinite, is via our behavior, in the present moment. Behavior is the only thing we own. All that we think we own in a material sense; we do not own. We have the use of these material objects, as a result of our behavior. And behavior can only be manifested in the present.

    Maurice Nicoll used term negative emotions for 12 years and it is apparently evident in all 5 volumes and he said on multiple occasions that main effort of the Work is in fighting negative emotions ?

      Didn't everyone talk of Negative Emotions - except Gurdjieff.

      I honestly did not read All and Everything not other Gurdjieff books, but Ouspensky, Nicoll and other people who presented his Work so I have no idea honestly
