Great info! Thanks, gentlemen!
Great video.
Thanks for the overview
Pueblo is great check out the prices down there
😂
Fountain!
The big cookie cutter corporate franchise resteraunts and stores are a huge turn off for me. Moved here from Arizona and it just reminded me of Chandler. Absolutely love the West side
Thanks
Thanks for watching!
Schriever is a space force base as well as Peterson.
We looked in Sterling Ranch out in Falcon. It was fine, definitely slightly cheaper in the housing. I think we decided against because the builder we liked didn't offer any basements in that area (not sure why). We ended up going with something in Wolf Ranch, which is a good 10 minutes closer to the Interstate than Falcon area and easy access to Powers. Overall, very happy with the decision and the mountains look a bit closer - which was important to us. We also scored D20 in Wolf Ranch, so very happy with that too. We also noticed not a lot of amenities in Falcon, which was a kinda a disappointment. I think if the neighborhoods offered a basement, pool and/or a fitness center at $100k off, we would have jumped on that.
You absolutely made the right choice. Two major problems with Falcon is constant wind and overhead power lines. Also that extra 10 minutes is more like 20 with any traffic. District 20 is also way better if you have school age kids. Cheers.
@@allaboutroofing2 Yeah, after we moved in and started driving around - we figured that out too. Extra time only applies in rush hour, but still a valid point. I had not considered the wind, but you are probably right - less trees out in Falcon area.
@@JasonTaylor-po5xc the constant wind is so annoying. I almost bought in out there went you could get 3500 square feet on a full acre for about $200K. My fiance at the time sold new houses out there and every day she came back complaining about the wind, so I bought in town with a about 1/5th the lot size. Even after 20 years, there are hardly any trees and everytime I do a roof out there I appreciate not having moved there. If it weren't for the wind and the massive power lines that you can hear from 50 feet or further away, it's actually a well planned community with some beautiful homes. It's all about location tho.
Definitely the cheapest place to live is down by the river with all the homeless. 2nd best is the tiny apartments with the sanctuary people. But they only get a place to live, no more money for food, up keep, or to pay for garbage service. If you want to pay a little extra you could get a 2 bed ranch built in 1965 that's been a rental since 1967 for $300,000. You'll need a rock crawler jeep to get around on the roads though. We do have mass transit though. You will need to take a the bus the day before if you want to get there on time. If you do drive here remember to add in the registration cost of sale tax, on a vehicle you bought in another state.
The cost of living in Colorado Springs is 2% higher than the state average and 8% higher than the national average. Colorado Springs
housing is 12% more expensive than the U.S average, while utilities are about 2% less pricey. 🍸
The hardest part moving from Texas is the drivers…. I see about 12 potential tea bones a day 😂
Yeah, isn't it hilarious. And the police assign partial blame so the insurance companies don't have to pay out.
That's weird because Texas has the absolute worst drivers in the county IMO. Maybe it's just Dallas and Houston, but I see more accidents in a week there than the entire year in Colorado Springs.
@@user-bv9dp5nx9pthat sounds like a personal experience? I've never heard of this, maybe you were actually partially at fault?
Moving to Walk About Creek, Australia, no growth or corporate chains, zero traffic, exterme affordable housing, navigate your own hiking trail, brand new hiking trail you make, and tons of Crocodile Burgers to eat. You may run into Mick Dundee, beats Colorado Springs.
Been living in Briargate for the last 4 years. Moving to garden of the Gods and 30th. I absolutely love that area so much more.
Good choice. That's a gorgeous area.
I've been here almost 3 yrs. Where is First & Main. I don't love the Powers corridor. People don't take care of their yards in our area and the streets are absolutely terrible. I'm sure they bring down the value of the neighborhood. Wish my agent would have steered us better.
Thank you. Moving in January!
👍
Can you add timeline plz
Love living on the West side. Powers corridor has cookie cutter homes and it feels really busy with all the franchise restaurants and stores.
Away............
The recommended video just to the right of this one is about why everybody is leaving Colorado Springs. TH-cam is a shithole of nonsense.
Its way too full here for all you transplants. Just stay where you are.
Please move to Denver!
If you knew any better don’t mention desirable areas locals know are desirable direct the others to non desirable areas
No where near the springs 🤣
it would be best if you not come.
Please stop coming here
