I got this laptop a few weeks ago mainly based on your review. I was debating this one or the razer blade 15 with a 3070ti but I didnt want to spend a crazy amount. The laptop has been really great to me so far. I have been playing all my main games with no problems with frame rate and performance and temperatures. Its a solid laptop and its great for university as well. thanks so much!

one thing you talked about in this video was the accidental clicking during gameplay because of palm resting on the trackpad. I would like everyone to know that Lenovo already knew this can happen which is why they added a function that by using Fn+F10, you can disable\enable the trackpad. will will allow you to game without worrying about accidental clicks.
Yes we know you can do that. We mentioned that we did NOT encounter much accidental presses if any. It’s more of the line kinda of just cutting into your palm as you rest on the WASD cluster. Would’ve just preferred if it was slightly to the right.
I received this laptop with a 3060 exactly one week ago, in the Netherlands. I can confirm that machine is really good. Running Linux, it is still a bit rough around the edges, like no backlight control when using the AMD GPU, but still... such a nice machine. Fast AF when compiling and building images, which I do a lot. And the display and keyboard are perfect for work. Coil whine is an issue though: When the fans are off, there's an annoying higt pitched tinitus-like peep, which is really noticable when it's quite. And the fans are off most of the time when coding. I think it is in the fans, not in the power supply, and I'm hoping Lenovo will can fix it in firmware. This laptop would have been perfect without the coil whine. Still... I love it.

The productionn quality of this video is actually on par with a 500k-1Mil sub channel so props for this! A nice addition would be some keyboard sound bytes and the writing and trackpad experience when surfing :) I know you showed it on screen but the 16:10 aspect ratio is also really great the screen literally goes over the whole front, very few laptops do this but it is sooo great for screen real estate. Typical Laptops with 3000 cards also use less wattage so this laptop is probable faster than all 100-120W 3080 laptops easy

Got this laptop with the exact same specs and I have to agree everything with your review. But damn, it is a beast as an all rounder. Though I don't recommend it as an ultraportable for anyone wanting to carry it daily. The power brick itself is heavy af. But nice review vid and you deserve more subs!
@@msbull100 About the same but it depends on ambient temp. Like @Terafied mentioned, needs to do some tweaking though performance mode shouldn't be used often of course

I had ordered this from two different retailers to be sure. I got one yesterday and the other has been dispatched and will arrive on Monday. Both were expected to come at the end of April.
@@Terafied I have received one, and will get the other on monday. This is in Sweden/Denmark. Elgiganten and Inet. Very trustworthy and efficient. One has 32 GB RAM and the other 16. I just have to decide which one to keep and return the other free of charge.
It would also be good if you upload a thorough guide from having a new laptop (updates, optimizations etc.) -saw you on recommended (gonna watch your other videos)
We had our expectations... and it not only met it, but went ahead and blew us away! Now... if only you guys can just tweak that performance mode profile.... HMMMM!
Great review and supremely interested in this laptop (if it ever releases in Canada...). It is between this and the new Alienware M15 Ryzen. Both have their pluses and minuses (I like the bigger, brighter screen and the fact that the Legion has the numpad). Question is: I have no idea when it is being released. Great review liked it, I have this laptop for 9 months now same specs 3070 been using it to install virtual machines linux kali centos windows and alient vault it runs smoothly doing some pentest and yes I am using for games I change my memory ram to dual rank 32gig 3200mhz and it boost my fps in cod 30% boost. So far it is working nicely through my needs and gaming and working appetite :) More power to your channel bro!
The 'enter' key on the keyboard looks slightly different from other reviews I've seen of this laptop. In the other ones, the enter key goes up and to the left in sort of like rotated 'L' shape and the key that's directly to the left of the 'enter' key on your laptop (with the ' and ") is below and tucked in on the left of the 'enter' key on the others . Your 'enter' key layout looks more like the Legion 5 from last year and also better imho. It's strange though that they would use slightly different keyboard layout depending on which country the laptop's being sold in.
That’s comparing between ANSI and ISO layouts! It simply is just a difference between standard keyboard layouts in different regions and countries. ANSI is widely adopted while ISO is usually reserved for EU countries. If you’re in Japan, you’ll even find JIS layout instead!

I own a legion 5 from 2020 with ryzen 7 4800h with gtx1650ti and its still such a beast at gaming and i dont have any issue with it but its seems like the new 2021 with ryzen 5000 series is so much better
I just picked one up today for $1,400 after taxes! So exited. I almost went with the 7i slim 3060 for $1,600 after taxes but then someone on redit recommended the 5 pro 3070 and it came out cheaper! So excited

I've got the 5 pro with the 3070 and it's brilliant the fans kick up a bit when gaming but it keeps cool enough for big sessions

Have you got same temps in perf mode? What are they in basic mode? Looks like this machine is hot as hell ..

Got this laptop with rtx 3060 version. Its a beast to me since i can play highest graphics of valorant with 200 fps

I own a legion 5 from 2020 with ryzen 7 4800h with gtx1650ti and its still such a beast at gaming and i dont have any issue with it but its seems like the new 2021 with ryzen 5000 series is so much better

I just picked one up today for $1,400 after taxes! So exited. I almost went with the 7i slim 3060 for $1,600 after taxes but then someone on redit recommended the 5 pro 3070 and it came out cheaper! So excited
