    For the dozer attachment point with the grease fittings, it looks like a turnbuckle to allow you to change the static tilt of the blade. Put a bar through the big hole in the middle and rotate it.

    • @johndowe7003
      @johndowe7003 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      yep correct. more forward tilt for less aggressive cutting , better for spreading material. tilt back so the cutting edge of the blade digs better..

    That white hard stuff in your water lines is called calcite. It comes from calcium and magnesium in your water. I get that built up in the pipes in my hot water furnace too especially around soldered joints that may seep just a little bit. The stuff is just as hard as bones.
    I have doors like yours in my wood shop and what I did was I left about a 1” gap at the bottom then screwed a thick 3” rubber strip to the bottom of the doors that just drags along the floor when they’re closed like a seal, so no mice can get in and it keeps any draft from coming in too. That way if the doors swell or shrink it still keeps a good seal and won’t drag.

    • @Ants_Pants
      @Ants_Pants  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah i did that too to the workshop door, i wanna do something similar to the remaining doors also. they work great

      For hot water stuff (if it doesn't have to be potable), I very much prefer rain water over ground water or city water. Rain water has a lot less calcium and other minerals, and those minerals clog up especially the parts where water is heated.

    *- Andris, you clean the Calcium deposits out of your coffee maker once a month with vinigar diluted in the water, right?*
    *- This is the same thing in principal but much bigger, & with a LOT more "hard water" deposits inside the piping. **29:00*
    *- With the right kind of industrial cleaning solvent used to dissolve the Calcite Sand deposits out of hot water boilers, you should be able to clean this Sauna Contraption.*
    *~ ~ ~ ~ ~*
    *- **32:46** "That pure vinegar" Perfect ! ! !*
    *- The Calcium will "use up" the Acetic acid of the vinegar and its smell. When the deposits are completely gone, the vinegar smell will return.*
    *- Diluting the vinegar may help make the process faster. Repeat "dosing the system" with 50% vinegar until the Acetic acid smell of vinegar remains. Then you know you have used up all the Calcium or Calcite salts in the system.*
    *- I it a chemistry titration done by change of smell instead of a change of color.*
    *~ ~ ~ ~ ~*
    *- Or saw the boiler open **36:17** and chip out the layers of calcification deposits, weld up the coffee pot and get on with your sauna.*

    I have a tip with Teflon tape: turn the roll the other way around (if it was electrical tape, with the sticky side facing out). If you then roll on the fitting, the roller would tighten itself. If you have your index finger in the middle of the hole and brake with your middle finger and thumb, you can regulate the pressure on the thread very well.

    Odd number segments get a cross support at the top, even gets a cross support that is just under the cross support for the odd numbers.
    Then do a second cross support on the odd numbers that is under the cross support for the even numbers.
    Then either leave as is, or just a second cross support on the even segments that is just under the odd segments.
    Otherwise I like how it turned out.

The metal holder from magnet and glue inside was not strong enough ;) I think many of these kind of magents are not designed for installing / uninstalling many times. I use a wash down gun (compressed air) for applying used oil to all my old equipment for rust prevention. It would also work great for applying to fences ect.
    Great content, thank you.

    If you can find some deer antler they make good door handles and would look pretty good on that type of door.
    Your water pipes are being blocked by 'tuberculation' from minerals and impurities in the water. It happens in the UK too whereby the diameter of the pipes gets reduced so much they have to be replaced. I'm guessing from the colour you are in a sandstone area. It would be white if it were predominantly limestone. It's something you can't stop or effectively remove. You simply have to replace the plumbing I'm afraid. I only know about it because it was part of our studies on fire mains during fire service basic training.

    That was quite a variety of jobs - and I'm glad Joseph got some attention! I am wondering if the brace on the blade was threaded at each end - one right-hand thread and the other left-hand - so a bar could be inserted in the hole thru the middle and turning the pipe would lengthen or shorten the distance between the end connectors and tilt the blade? If so, the grease fittings would allow lubricating the threads. But something like that could lock up and be very hard to free again.

      yeah that's the case i assume, to adjust the tilt of the blade

    I think you should weld a plate or section of pipe over the divot on the arm, the pipe is very weak where the kink is

      It's possible, but then again it took the full force of 20tons to bend that pipe straight, it may even survive
