Thank you! This level crossing over a low bridge set-up is pretty rare and quite cool IMO, and the middle two tracks are interlaced because of the junction which is pretty unique to. This is one of my favourite LCs in Essex personally 😎
This level crossing only has two alarms, and the other alarm works perfectly fine. The alarm I stood under, along with the siren of a passing police car/ambulance does sound kinda odd to be honest. This closest level crossing alarm is a bit faulty, and going by what it sounds like along with the emergency siren which was co-incidentally sounding when the level crossing activated, this is probably what you are referring to, as the alarm combination at this level crossing isn't too unusual compared to others.
Such a shame the Ely crossing has closed. That crossing was spectacular. I used to walk across it rather than use the underpass just because I preferred it.
