They have started running 12-car trains only recently on weekends to Ipswich, they terminate on platform 3, the Peterborough services runs empty into the loop until the Norwich train departs platform 4 instead of platform 3. Not sure why they've started running 12-car services to Ipswich on weekends though.
Ah I see, thank you very much for this information. I reckon the 12 coach trains are being run on weekends to provide extra capacity over the Christmas period.
Thanks, nice video. So - every main line passenger train stopped at Manningtree? I remember passing through at 70mph or so a while ago ... acceleration seems better with the EMU than the class 90s.
Splendid film Richard, did you get a sausage bap from the cafe on the station cause if you didn't, you don't know what you're missing out on, thumbs up from me mate
Great video mate and lucky you seeing those 86s on Coatbridge to Felixstowe. They normally take the 86s off at Crewe.
Great action! I was in Ipswich, where it was raining a lot more! Just left before the class 86s came through. Glad you captured them!
Good stuff in spite of the raunchy-looking weather. Thanks.
Fantastic video which I really enjoyed. Was surprised to see that the Ipswich - London commuter services were all 12 coaches. :)
Desiro360 Same for me to. I thought they were only 8 cars to/from Ipswich on Saturday

Another fantastic video here! I really Enjoyed this :)
4:09 oh wow an FCC liveried class 321408!
Cool Vid. Enjoyed those Class 90s
Will miss getting a 90 connection at Manningtree
14:49 why do they always have two engines powering at either end of those trains?
Thomas Palmer because they do a lot of reversing
@@RichardChalklin oh so is it so that the train can go both ways?
Thomas Palmer Yes
It's strange to see a class 360 on the Harwich line that normally operated by a 321
A 321 usually runs the service throughout the week, on weekends it usually gets operated by a 360
Nice one mate 👍👍
ModernECML Thanks! It was a pleasure to see you at Ipswich!
Thanks, nice video.

ridefast0 That must of been a weekday. There are peak time passenger skippers at Manningtree in the morning and evening only on weekdays.
Hey Richard, remember I asked you about the camera you were using? What model is it? Is it still on sale somewhere, and what is it's price?
Thanks~
Sir Quack It is a Panasonic HC-VX870
Also, the video editor you were using... what is it? Where can I download it? Sorry if I'm asking too much.

Richard, is it still available for download?
Sir Quack Yes
