      Ruan in fact General Holomisa is a man of integrity, a real truthful, Honorable and a respected leader, a visionary, a good hearted person with a spirit of discernment no wonder he left the ANC in its early age he could foresee the rampant corruption that would mushroom in the future. Bantu bonke Holomisa is one of the few African Leaders who deserves my respect. Look Ruan General Holomisa has never been implicated in any of the scandals that many poloticians and their Leaders are involved in, the reason why his party is not growing as it should be is a clear indication of how much decadence and debilitated we have become as Safricans, or Africans even the entire human beings in the world. Many people like the wrong things than the right things, otherwise if it wasn't the case UDM would be having more followers than all the political parties in Mzanzi. Look Ruan, General Holomisa is the only Political leader who vehemently wanted to have death penalty brought back, he actually said let's go for the referendum, and the ANC denied, you know why bcs many of them would be hanged by now or their relatives, families and friends.

      He formed his party in 1997, first election UDM contested in 1999 they got 14 seats and from there it has been down hill, so much so in the last election in 2019 they got 2 seats. In 2024 they might get 1 or zero seats. Same fate awaits COPE and MK post 2024/ZUMA. The General might be personable but his party and or his leadership have been rejected by voters. The people are saying this loud and clear with each plebiscite.

    Always had deep respect for General Holomisa.. A man from Mqanduli in the old Transkei. An interesting fact after he performed the coup in the Transkei he didn't hang onto power and try keep it independent unlike Lucas Mangope of Bophuthatswana. It appears he could have mounted a lot of resistance unlike Mangope for reintegration into South Africa since he was in the Transkei Defense Force and would have been another major obstacle to getting into the 1994 elections.

    We need to change our Constitution such that
    The watchdog offices viz the NPA, public protector, AG, DSO etc
    should be completely independent, receive they budgets from treasury (report directly to Parliament)
    and most importantly headed by the opposition parties - This is how we’re going build this country,
    Otherwise we are all corrupt given the right circumstances.

    • @khaltsharivist365
      @khaltsharivist365 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No ruling party or any serious party with a view to govern will acquiesce to that. Btw opposition parties also want the chance to govern. If they can impeach or bring a government down they will, it’s their mandate. By all means there need to be checks and balances but not shackles. The issue is not so much about the institutions but calibre of people voters send to parliaments/assemblies and councils/municipalities. As long as the voter rewards bad behaviour, it will continue. Public Protector is already a creature of parliament… interviewed and voted in by parliament and can only be removed by parliament.

    The UDM was formed to just exist and occupy space in the democratic dispensation. Listening to the General, one perceives he's happy to just be there in parliament

    Seems to be a very honest and genuine man who believes in speaking the truth.These are the type of leaders we need.Honest period. However the Pakistani question must be addressed in Transkei as it is a shame to the people there.

    Thumb up to General Holomisa, the only wiser leader who is not selfish and arrogant, A Moses, Jeremiah, Isaiah, David, Gedion of our error, A Messiah for South Africa, a leader who is down to earth with every body both the high and the lower class, a leader who listen, a leader who is always found amongst the poor/the vulnerable/the destitute and the needy. A leader with more than 40 years experience in governance, the only surviving former SATBVC States and still active in politics of this country, a leader appointed by God. May God continue to bless him and give him more wisdom, the king Solomon's wisdom from the Holy Bible. Aluta General Bantu Bonke Holomisa Arise Mhlekazi Arise...

    As a leader at times you need to make unpopular decisions. You can never please everyone, especially if you are truthful
