How I wish you invited Blade Ndzimande - who - during the presidency of T Mbheki was very vocal and critical of the government during Mbeki's tenure - also advocating to value his independence (exactly what Mapaila just alluded to) as a result Blade declined offers from the Mbeki government - sighting that this was a strategy to completely drown their voice - to an extent Blade was publicly seen advising Alliance Partners to be aware of what he termed as "Palace Politics". What changed all of that - what led him to decide to join Government eventually and why after taking up a ministerial post in Government - and than the cracks between him and his staunch close ally Z Vavi started showing and than finally the rift between the two happened.....

One thing I love about Dr. Sizwe is that he will listen to you, which is something you seldom find among the mainstream media presenters. And that just exposes them even further that they're trying to impose a certain narrative whispered to them from their masters, which makes it worthless to watch their news nowadays. Independent podcasts are taking over.

Sizwe. Please invite Mr Mthetheleli Mncube. He is a former senior MK leader and combatant. He is one of those forgotten souls. He was sentenced to death but on the day he was meant to be hanged he benefitted from a negotiation with the state which was led by Nelson Mandela. He is one of the truest ANC people. The man is still suffering from the traumas he experienced during those days. He was very close to Chris Hani and worked extensively with him even in the battlefield. He has pictures and memorabilia to remind us of his time in the MK including his time with Winner Mandela. He is very elequent and has very interesting stories.

One weekend he came but did not go back on Sunday as recorded. Monday early morning there was a violent knock at the door. Police had come to collect my grandfather. Meaning; we gotten freedom of expression in exchange with land and business life to Whites. Now, to give back the polical power, we lost everything. We gave the land, business opportunities and political power back to the enemy.

    2) EFF didnt want to get into bed with ANC, MK-P also didnt want to participate, actually zuma thought without his votes, Parliament wouldn't corrade
and parliament would have to be dissolved, how do you then start government with those kind of people
    3) What contribution is SACP bringing to the table, in terms of votes, is their representation in cabinet proportional to the number of votes they bring? They cant even fill Daveton Stadium

White capital and liberal formation will and infact had been working hard to insure that black progressive movements are not to unite. They fear unity of Africans because from inception of imperialism, colonial conquest and Apartheid oppression, devision of African black people was a chief strategy that has been working all the time. therefore for ordinary black African when united Africans will be battling to govern due to opposing white liberals, that will look like a failed united African government. Best will be that the white capital and liberal formations to leave the African shores and let Africans to govern themselves in their land.

I love how utatuSolly touched on NHI and I too found it odd that there was an uproar by the "black middle class", even at work. They spoke on how it is not ideal as it would collapse the health space and bring about services that are not up to par just like the ones we endure daily in townships. I find this perspective as a huge problem because it insinuates that people who reside in townships should be contemptuous with what they are currently receiving as they are accustomed to it and the blacks that are doing "better" will cast a blind eye. It's truly sad. For me, if indlu iyatsha mazitshe zonke (I'm exaggerating), but you'll never know the brunt until you get burnt, so many of us are not aware of the severity and pain that people in the "lower-class" experience on a day-to-day basis and that's why we lack sympathy. They will pretend to govern; loading shedding will be greatly reduced and the masses will feel as if there is tangible change, but trust and believe Black people will not see vast improvements in their lives. This guy only hates Zuma. When it comes to Zuma, he dishonestly contradicts himself. He admits that the neo-liberal faction infiltrated and captured ANC. But he does not accept the fact that this same neo-liberal faction prevented Zuma from implementing a radical socio-economic transformation program as he desired and honestly attempted. He cannot even admit that he himself, personally and together with SACP and COSATU in general, worked hands in glove with the neo-liberal faction to not only make the Zuma presidency fail but also to project him as corrupt and thus conveniently push him out of power - all in the quest of assisting the Ramaphosa neo-liberal faction gain a firm grip on ANC and government. Secondly, he even has the audacity to appreciate the campaign by EFF against the ANC, but not the campaign by MK against the same ANC. When EFF does it, he hails it as a campaign he is willing to collaborate with. But when MK does exactly the same, he accuses them of pushing the liberals into ANC! What a dishonest fellow! Does he know about the corruption perptrated by his friends like Pravin Gordhan (SAA but to mention only one), Blade Nzimande (Nesfas), Phalama Jacob Mamabolo, etc - just to mention a few? Any way, Africa now knows who these fellows truly are and who they truly serve.

Terrible story about the white man with the dog and the black man on the back of a bakkie. I was born in the 1980's and can honestly say i haven't seen anything like that apart from old movies and commercials. I thank the ANC, and I will forever be grateful to the ANC and other leaders who gave us this new South Africa for that. My problem now is growing up i saved and was able to but a car and was able to fit it with very nice speakers and a nice radio and even had an amp for the subwoofer. My car got broken into maybe 6 times. Lucky for me, i insured my car, and it was covered every time. But the area i lived in was a black area. You never saw a white man walking around, so it was safe to assume black people stole from me. Also, i had a gun pointed at my head and robbed in front of my friends house by a black man. The police officer who pulls me over and wants a bribe from me even though i did nothing wrong is a black man. When my mom got cancer and had to go to a state hospital, the nurses was black and they treated my mother of 71 years of age terrible. So following the reasoning of this dog story told i should hate and fear every white person even though i never experienced it? What about black people? Should i supply trust them because they are black? After all the bad experiences i had with them? Of course not, they are my people, and i know we are not all the same. i had a lot of good done for me by black people, but Why is it then that we can't understand that not all white people are bad? A black minister allowed state hospitals to get this bad that my mom had to go to. So why do people like this try and convince me that if black people in government is best for me? After 30 years of the ANC in government, and like i said, they have done some good, but the stealing and corruption makes our day to day life almost impossible.

@fxwic5072 is also not what I meant. The real problem is not black/white leadership. It is the lack of ethical leadership. People who care more about what they can do for the country rather than what they can extract for themselves. A perfect example is Gayton. Here is a man who says "I'll rather give up my salary to where it is needed. The reason I am here is to make sure the country is better for my future generations. Also, over the last 30 years, most of the "we can't live with blacks" white people have already moved away. What we have left are South Africans who love this country and have a much to lose as the rest of us if this country fails. That's why we can all work together to make things work. That is why I can trust any party who tells me the biggest problem in our country is the 8% (whites) population. We give them the all the power to make the laws and rules of the country. After 30 years "white" can't be a good enough excuse anymore. Not while it's black people now stealing from the poorest and most needy. Not white people stealing hospital funds to buy skinny jeans, or asking me for a bribe to get my government documents, or who stole the money from gogos in VBS, or the money to fix all the pothole the list goes on and of problems facing us everyday.

Always great listening to Comrade Mapaila speak out against the clear and shameless diviation of the current ANC from the original mission and vision of the once great liberation movememt. This is also, however, a very rich case study for the saying that says every single man has a price and all the enemy has to do is ask "How much?"!

Thank you for another great episode Dr Mpofu, Solly Mapaila himself was part of the movement that included white people against Zuma. Back then that was their GNU now he is complaining about karma. For a leader to still be talking about state capture today exposes him.

    • @khayambanyana2849
      @khayambanyana2849 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

That time Zuma told them as early as 2015-17 that "their aim is to destroy the ANC, they want ANC to be below 50% so that it doesn't get governing power. & they using SOME OF US IN THE ANC TO ACHIEVE THAT"
But these ones didn't listen, they were busy enjoying the ZUMA MUST GO money 🤷

I agree with Mr Mapaila that the ANC has sold its soul to capitalism. But he appears hypocritical to criticise that move while the SACP remains stubbornly alligned to their capitalist comrades policies.
Perhaps they have a special dispensation where they can pick and choose where it suits them while retaining their salaries.

Mr Solly sounds is very intelligent and interesting... well that was until he had to speak about MK party and former president Zuma. Anyway, what is the role of SACP in this country for crying out loud by the way? Who will even notice if they stop existing even for years? Honestly speaking, I think if somehow their existence is supported by any of the state's funds that is the longest existing abuse of our funds since democracy.

Currenlty the DA is doing more for black South Africans than the SACP or ANC. The tripartite alliance has failed the people who vote for them. The DA grow the economy, create more jobs and don’t steal the money as the Tri-alliance do and did.

For how long do we allow this age bracket to make decisions for our future, cause theere will always be a certain emotion attached to their decision making.. They should teach the younger ones.. But the youngers ones sbould decide our future.. Those ones that can make decisions withouth trauma affecting their thinking.. Im gonna continue listening now
