- In this video, I took a deep dive into deploying a 3-tier web application on AWS, using a load balancer, application servers, and a database server to create a scalable, highly available, and secure system.
With the added security of a bastion host and VPC, this architecture ensures security of our cloud infrastructure, optimal performance and reliability for any web-based application.
Whether you're an experienced developer, Engineer or just starting out, this video provides a step-by-step guide for building a robust web application infrastructure on AWS.

The detail in the networking environment is so clear . That alone is very insightful.
Well done ..
Thank you for the feedback and watching my video ❤
@@techwithhelen I am here every-time for more videos.
Please any Terraform deployments will be appreciated.
Once again kudos

From this tutorial, I solved my initial permission denialed problem I had to Jenkins ssh-agent, thanks
Sounds good. Thank you for watching ❤
I appreciate your efforts Helen. You're the best
Sounds good :) thanks for watching
from enjoying your posts on linkedin to actually stumbling on your video on youtube .. nice content i enjoyed it
Thank you for your feedback ❤
Helen thank you for this tutorial. It's very digestible
It is my pleasure. Thanks for watching ❤
Thanks helen ...this brings a easy way of understanding aws architecture and the aws resources..well mannered...
Sounds . Thanks for watching ❤
I learn a lot with u, well done.
I appreciate your feedback. ❤
Nice one Nelen
Thank you for watching Daniel ❤
amazing job my sister
Thank you so much ❤
Perfect Helen.we got your back.
amazing job
Thank you so much ❤
thanks Helen, such a great content, could you please the git hub repo of project , so that we can clone and deploy it
Helen, Thanks a lot for this.Great effort.. Since time was restricted for the video presentation..,I would like to suggest a point to reduce was on explaining tiers in very detail..at this we are expected to know basics for watching the video..at least those first 5 minutes on slides, and it would have been useful for adding ALB and Adding auto scaling group... It would have completed the HA and DR as resilient and scalable completely. Can you please consider those points..We don't see the notepad file that you mentioned for downloading the commands.. Thanks a lot.
Thank you for your feedback 💖 I think you can skip the explanation part if you already know it, this is because most people watching are newbies and need that detailed explanation. ALB and scaling was beyond the video scope. Thank you
Helen your voice is so beautiful I love your voice, btw can you please make full video on 3 tier architecture with static website hosting or any web application auto scaling
Thank you so much Manoj. I don't think I understand, could you explain better?
hey at the time of connecting of public or private vi keypair command is not working and at the time of inserting the key how to save kindly brief
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I'm maybe wrong but this looks like a 2 tier web application since there is nothing deployed in the public subnets(web tier). I don't think that the internet-facing load balancer needs public subnets to be deployed. What do you think?
Im getting an error like Amazon-linux-extras command not found. Could you plz suggest what should i do now
Very nice. is it possible to use the default vpc?
No, not in this context
Could you pls share the file for commands that u used here?
Hi, I have a question. Where can I find the terminal? I can only find the powershell and window command processor on my computer? Thank you ❤
You need to install it to your computer
I was following well till i got to the terminal part.
I tried to use CloudShell but is not working. Please kindly help. Thanks
I'm sorry for late response. May I know if the issue has been resolved now?
The third tier which is the DB was not talked about.
You may want to watch it again
great video can you make a video Automating this process? like deploying this architecture using Terraform
I will have this in mind. Thank you for watching ❤
Please i brief explanation why we need 9 subnets
🤝🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
We cared for a reliable and highly available infrastructure, that is the reason. Feel free to make use of 6 subnets if you want, it is still okay
@@techwithhelen awesome thanks i got it.
Your teachings are clear enough for understanding. made my friends to subscribe to your channel.
if if you can make a video on how to connect to MySQL I'll be so so happy.
@@C.RonaldoCR7G thanks for that. I have a video to connect to AWS RDS Mysql using workbench though. Is that what you want?
Thanks a lot I found the video yesterday I overcame it. I do really appreciate ❤️❤️🥰
WE USING 9 SUBNETS, ISN'T THAT TOO MANY?
MOST I COME ACROSS IS JUST 6 SUBNETS BUT STILL MY DATABASE WONT RUN, IM JUST SO CONFUSED. I'VE BEEN ON THIS 3TIER PROJECT OVER A WEEK NOW BUT HAVEN'T REACH MY PEAK 😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😪😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Hi Jeff, sorry for late response to this message. May I know if this has been resolved? if No, what blocker are you facing. I'm willing to help.
@@techwithhelen when i try to log into MySQL it kept denying my credentials
Hi, awesome tutorial but i cant ssh into my instance. 'connection time out'.
Which ssh client are you using? Is port 22 open in your security group?
@@techwithhelen Yes, exactly how you did the security groups on the tutorial. I didnt miss any step. checked my NACL and everything else is in the right place. Still, no luck.
@@techwithhelen your response got me to check out the ssh client. yes its showed its active and listening on port 22.
Things to check 👇
Security which you already did.
Route table - ensure there is Internet gateway to it as a route and that it is active
Ensure your keypair is in the part where you are running the command and that you use correct username and IP
If these didn't work,
Try another ssh client eg if you use putty, try Git bash
@@techwithhelen update: I used a different EC2 AMI (Amazon Linux 2023) today and I could ssh into my instance. I wonder because it was a hassle trying to ssh into my instance using Amazon Linux 2.
can I use the free account
Yes you can
