As much as I love history and as much as I have studied it, I never really got interested in the history of the Ottoman dynasties. I was pretty into the story of Mehmed and Vlad the Impailer but not the succession of the Ottoman Sultans. This show has been a real eye opener and I can't get enough of it...I know it is a dramatization but my god...They make Mustafa out to be such a beautiful and wise man...Heir to the throne but no ambition to take power from his father. He was willing to serve his father and wait for his time; always making the right call. To see him slandered and executed...it broke my heart. Excellent story, excellent acting. I am hooked.

14:54 - Rustem whines about “suffering”. How much suffering has been caused by his lies and his manipulations?

The Janissaries could not survive without the Sultan! War was their life blood.

11.06 I dont understand why King Suleyman wanted to hear Rustem words but didn't want to hear Mustafa words..He believe Rustem but didn't believe Mustafa

Mahi you took the life of a person, a prince and now you forfeit your son, a prince. What goes around comes around

I think Chihangir’s reaction to Mustafa’s execution is over the top. Remember, Rustem and most of the Ottoman Pashas were slaves, property of the Sultans. Staying alive was no easy task. Easy to criticize!

it's probably because chihangir suffered from a disability all his life and not even his own siblings showed him the love and care like Mustafa did that's why he was so devastated by his execution, and his sensitive and emotional nature is because of his disability, he is different from the rest of his brothers, he truly admired Mustafa

Why does everyone hate Rustem? Literally, everyone in this show makes up lies and manipulates people for their own gain. He's no worse than anyone else.
