    Yep , a motor does make a good ride better.
    I have a Green speed Magnum XL because I’m a big dude with old bones and worn out knees ( I can no longer ride a diamond frame).
    On the flat with the trike I could get along ok , but the hills would kill me , I took my first ride with the motor last week and couldn’t believe the difference.
    There’s a short but steep hill near home, prior to having the motor, I’d get about one third the way up the hill and have to lock the brakes get off the trike on the hill ( no fun) , then release the brakes and push the trike up.
    With the motor set to about half power assistance I pedal up all the way no problems.
    Motor = worth it !

    I bought the ICE Adventure HD last summer. One of only a few models of any brand rated for my weight. Absurdly expensive. I love it. With the motor, I can enjoy hills that would otherwise cripple my knees. I feel 1,000 times better. It's true, looking at all that dough invested, I thought, what the heck, might as well add the Rohloff. Now, if only winter was shorter.

    If Taylor Swift was seen riding an e-recumbent trike just for the fun of it, in a music video, what do you think would happen to the sales of trikes? What the cycling world hasn't discovered yet is that trikes with a motor aren't just for old people anymore.

    I have not been on a bike in decades. I’m interested in an Ice adventurer but struggling with the price tag. Out of all the brands the reason I’m leaning toward this model is not having to deal with shifting.

    As a 57 yr old guy, I switched to trikes for shoulder issues, as I ride along, most people my age are switching over to trikes just for the comfort level,
    Mine is electrified with my own pieced together kit,, it's my secret bug out beast, it freakin rips asphalt

    I bought the ICE Sprint X Tour because I wanted a more sporty model as I felt that the Adventure looked good but the seat was too high making it less stable when cornering fast.

    I love my Terra Trike GTS aka "Sparky" and my TT Spyder aka "Shadow". Both are great trikes suitable for the mood of the day! And my Husband loves his Mango GT with his recently added Bosch mid-drive. We ride together a lot, too! BTW, Mickey, is the blact tee "I ride Laidback" available to purchase? Thanks!

    I think the super low and fast trikes would appeal more to younger riders, while the higher seats are for older, or less athletic people. My first trike was an old used Rover which is basically a lawn chair. It’s about the same as any chair. I added a motor for hills to take pressure off my knees.
    Then I got a 559 which is slightly lower and much easier to pedal with 30 speeds, but after a couple hundred miles I added a motor because of hills, plus doing some rides with other people it’s easier to keep up.
    I still haven’t put motors on my recumbent bikes, but something small like the Switchbike might appeal to me for getting started and hills. Their small pocket sized battery with maybe 10 miles of range is appealing rather than the 7 pound Tongshen mid drive and large battery on my 559. I do like the Tongshen because I was able to add a second front gear ring to have 20 speeds. Some I would only use if I outrode the battery.
    If I was buying a new trike today and didn’t already have a bunch of batteries, I would be fascinated by the Max with Bosch and Rohloff. Only the price off all three would make me think about it
