Not X-Plane, but MS Windows did. X-Plane on Linux (like almost everything else on Linux) is working perfectly. Hmmm maybe if You wanna try Ubuntu distribution (apparently designed for really stupid people), then I think: even Windows should be better... So chose Debian.

The 737 cannot autoland in "SINGLE CH" mode, both autopilots have to be engaged for autopilot to work. In the zibo 737 (which I think is what was used), from my experience, you have to have your approach configured into the FMS for it to autoland correctly. When it does work right, it lands around -400 fpm.

It scares me that Swiss001 has a pilot's license because for nearly all the landings he forgot the flaps!

Swiss reason you landed so hard in the 737 is because you did not do a ils cat 3 approach/autoland you did an ils cat 1 to do autoland you need to turn on both cmd a and b to confirm it's correct look on the pfd and if it says cat 3 it will do autoland also turn on second cmd After turning on app mode it will flare if you do cat 3

My question: Do you pay to fly all your favorite aircrafts in X-Plane 11?
Don't know if Flightsimulator 2020 is realistic enough.
Last night, I watched a tutorial about how to use the autopilot to land the plane.
The videomaker pressed a lot of buttons etc. etc. Then the plane landed itself.
I tried it, but as usual the plane was already at low enough altitude so instead of pressing the LOC button, I simply pressed APP.
And it worked! On a single autopilot.
However, maybe I do need the second autopilot because in every other landing, the plane would just sit above the runway and glide along, not wanting to touch down. No matter, I needed the autoland feature just to get down through the snowstorm so now being able to actually see the runway, I disengaged the autopilot *+ the autothrottle* because I have seen too many videos about tragedies that were caused by seasoned pilots forgetting about the autothrottle.
Me: aaah that's why Ryanair makes hard landings!

That's bcuz you're supposed to disengage the autopilot at 50ft (some version can land only but not maintain Centerline and some versions can also maintain Centerline but the xplane model can't do that)

Thrust reverser can be deployed on the 737 within 10 feet Radio altitude and or one of the main landing gear struts are pressed, the air/ground logic is switching to ground mode.

ok so, such aircraft like a 737 or an embraer, the autopilot turns off before approach cuz thats how its done. they want the pilot to do the flare and stuff. airbus on the other hand, they have like a custom autopilot which can handle these flare stuff.

With airbus you have to put the thrust lever into the climb detent. Otherwise autothrottle does not work good with the autoland. You also see it on the ecam.

I dont think you have any idea what a touchdown zone is at 5:37. The big white bars on the runway are the 1000 foot mark (US) and aim point of the runway. Its the SECOND set of markings of the touchdown zone. The TD zone is from the first set of bars to the the last set of bars. The aircraft landed perfectly within.
Swiss001 tries to autoland an a319:
1200 feet, not in clb detent, flaps 1, changes wether on short final, then extends flaps from 1 to full at once and lands in a toliss that is like hundreds of versions old.

die sache ist wenn man eine autoland macht die relativ gut vorgeplant ist und man ordentlich anfliegt mit dem richtigem speed und gear und flaps schon draußen hat wie es normalerweise ist wenn man einen ganzen flug macht dan macht das Flugzeug recht gute (Great Landings, teilweise Butter) Autoland und die Zibo macht fast immer Butter.
Thank god the fries aren't dead from the hard landings...
