Any way to get the MPN for all items to better compare. for example an MPN ending in GG has better bass, meanwhile TL will sound better overall. The difference can seem minor until you pair two different Xtreme mpn models.
I got the BB3 yesterday. The amount of bass is just amazing, especially the subwoofer part.

I bought the boombox 3 little over 2 weeks ago and I love it, also I bring it to school every day to play music in the hallway and we’ll let’s just say people were very happy because at 100% volume it caused some havoc 😂
I have a little of a downgrade than you I had to give you a Boombox 2 and when I was in school I would bring my Sony xg500 that I also have and I will play it in the gym and stuff
@@alexandercoleman4308 the Sony xg500 is a decent speaker but I notice it can sound muffled at times which annoyed me a lot and at high volumes it sounds warm compared to the boombox

The BB3 bass is still perfect than two XTREME 3, but the problem with JBL Bluetooth speakers is that when you reach into 60%~70% increasing volume you hear only the treble increases but the bass doesn't increase anymore. Then it starts sounding bad
This is not problem with JBL speakers. This applies to all Bluetooth speakers.
I got like 2 boombox 3's so i could create a stereo. I gotta say that the sound is absolute impeccably. The only reason why i bought them was because they were 50% off. 😅

The bb3 is more of a home speaker because of its weight and I usually use the x3 for outdoor and something light
Good review comparison - not sure if you had the EQ enabled on the BB3 but when partyboosted on the two it disables the EQ and to me, a single speaker withEQ on trumps two without and I would even say one BB3 50% and lower with EQ would trump two party boosted with EQ disabled.

The two extremes sounded crisper and brighter more treble while the boombox sounded warmer and louder more balanced and slightly muffled but not in a bad way just muffled enough so sound doesn't get distorted at higher volumes id imagine.. id say if you want best balance ane portability boombox 3 if for indoor listening experience sounds like two xtreme 3's are legit either way can go wrong with the purchase i just heard the xtreme 2 by the pool yesterday and that thing sounded beautiful and bass was perfect my wife hates bass and even she was like damn that speaker sounds amazing i was like i know right and this was outdoors at my community pool and im assuming lady only had it up too about 40-50% volume.. i haven't heard the boombox 3 yet but what i will say is these youtube sound tests dont do either speaker full justice you probably gunna have too find a retailer that has jbl speakers in the store that you can test out for yourself because you might be pleasantly surprised by the extreme bass and sound quality.. these videos dont do these speakers justice is all i can say for certain..
That always happens when you connect two speakers and compare them to a single one.
You´re going from mono to stereo and the different sounds will be a lot more noticeable.
That doesn't mean the BB3 is warmer, but that it is limited due to it's shape and size when compared against 2 Xtreme speakers.
The xtreme 3 actually has a way longer battery life at high volumes then the boombox 3 both at 80% the xtreme has about 9 hours and the boombox only 7 hours

You don't hear the difference when he switches ? What are you listening on ? Your phones speaker ? Use headphones or use a "GOOD" Bluetooth speaker to hear TH-cam better
Placing the X3s on either side of the BB3 gives better stereo separation (assuming in stereo mode). This hints at the benefit of separate speakers as they can be placed further apart for even better separation. You don't want to cut a BB3 in half🙄. I also like that moving speakers apart will spread the volume around so its not too loud when standing near a speaker. In favor of the BB3 I would expect better low frequency response. @NewStuffTV1 From a physics perspective, placing the X3s next to the BB3 might cause the BB3 cavity to resonate, making the X3s sound as though they have more bass than they would without the BB3 between them.

Но Bb3 должен давать больше глубины. Bb3 работает от 40hz. X3 - работает от 53.5hz. Хотелось бы самому услышать разницу.
Assuming you tested this in battery two xtreme do 120w and one boombox 136w I must assume that one xtreme has real 60w in battery, right?

Cause i can use type c to charge the extreme i will provably get the extreme 4 when it releases. I cant stand having a dedicated cable for everything. Type c to charge everything saves me alot of time and effort.

From a man that have 2 JBL Boombox2s and 2 JBL Extreme2s and 2 JBL Charge5'ves and that is a JBL Bluetooth speaker fan, i dont have choose eather 2 JBL Extreme3s or 1 JBL Boombox3, but 2 JBL Charge5'ves and used or saved the rest of that 500$ or 560$. For a speaker/speakers that is so small and play that big and looks that good(ekspesaly the blue one) with that 20 our batteri life and water dust proof you not find many speakers that compair with thath. Tath is the perfekt everyday speaker/speakers that fits everywere in the house and outside. Its perfekt for streaming of musick an films at your fone, and it is not so big that is a pain in the ace for your wife but 2 JBL Charge5'ves plays realy good and big in stereo.
Personal ill still go with the BB3. It's just a better package except for long walking trips than I'll take the Xtremes or my Boom plus

I just compared the JBL Xtreme 3 to the JBL IRX112BT and quickly understood how much psychoacoustic compression is being applied to the little speaker..having compression free speaker like the JBL IRX is so much better if you can accept a Bluetooth speaker with 12in driver and massive Horn Tweeter

I'd bet on the BoomBox 3 - Sure it is huge, sure it is less battery power, sure there is only one and sure they might both sound similar.
However, not only are you saving a bit of money, but in all honesty, the boom box 3 probably does better at max volume and the bass is probably far better.

I own 2 Xtreme 3s is pretty sad to say the two charge 5s that I own as well sound pretty damn close or just as good and a lot cheaper folks just saying extrem3 is great speaker please don't get me wrong but for $400 damn near after-tax they should sound louder in my personal opinion
YES ! , THEY SHOULD! It's the power configuration. 50-60 watts battery mode. 12 1/2 -15 watts per driver & tweeter. 100 watts in A/C MODE 25 ×2 tweeters, 25 ×2 drivers.
If JBL wants to price the EXTREME 3 right under the BOOMBOX 3, they need to design it just like the BOOMBOX 3, but a little smaller, with a little less power, & incorporate a powered sub.
Сегодня в моей стране (Эстония) Charge 5 со скидкой стоит 119€. Xtreme3 - 140€! У меня 2 charge5 и 2 Xtreme3. Да разница в громкости не большая. Но Xtreme3 играют чище и баса больше. Charge5 на большой громкости просто орёт, а не играет. У Xtreme3 на большой громкости играет немного громче, но она играет. Звук не превращается в кашу и не свистит как у charge5. Качество звука и музыкальность у Xtreme3 лучше.
Bb3 у нас сейчас стоит 300€! К сожалению я живу в квартире и у меня везде соседи. Не хочу с ними ругаться из за басов. 😂

I don't think you can go wrong with either one, but to me, it's just a matter of these three preferences.
Warmer sound vs. a brighter sound
Large vs. Medium
Higher price vs. lower price.
I like a warmer sound so if I were to purchase one. It would be the Boombox 3.. The price isn't too steep for me (not that it's not expensive), and portability isn't n issue.

I have an ebike & bought a Boombox 3 to strap it on the back rack of my ebike. Needless to say, it's a fuggin' loud ass speaker. But me being the exaggerator that I am when it comes to music, I wasn't happy & wanted louder. So, I stopped by the car customizing shop by my house & asked if they can build a rack that attaches to my ebike so I can have 2 Boombox 3s back there. They said it can be done so I bought another Boombox 3 to begin the process. The main reason I'm doing this is because I didn't pay 500 coconuts for each JBL Boombox. I've bought 2 in excellent condition 'REFURBISHED' JBL Boombox 3 units with full factory warranty of Amazon for the awesome price of $360 each. They have the 'party mode' where can blue tooth the speakers together as well so you can imagine how loud that's gonna be when I'm cruising through the park blasting the sounds. The project has just begun but I'm trying to get it done by the end of the month for the monthly bicycle ride that happens the last Friday of every month in Miami called 'Miami Critical Mass'...

both the BB2 and EXTREME 3 sound much better with the SOUND EQ hidden in Samsung smartphones ADVANCED AUDIO secion,more audio bands to use then the 3 you get built into the speakers firmware.
I got the best results on the extreme 3 with the Samsung EQ with first slider full up,middle halfway,and last one full up.
the boombox 2 actually had an EQ update in the app a few months ago
Make sure that all of the speakers are plugged in when making the comparison. The EXTREME 3 puts out 100 watts each in A/C MODE. The BOOMBOX 3 puts out 180 watts in A/C MODE.

How would you get 30 hours of battery if each one is playing with 15 hours.
I have the JBL Party Box 310 which is way louder than the boombox 3 as I've just brought the boombox 3 a week ago and tested them both side by side. As a home and out outdoor speaker the party box 310 I would say it's the best option because it literally is only 50 dollars more than the boombox 3 and has way bigger woofers and watts of power and 18 hour battery I'm sure longer playing it at Max volume of the JBL boombox. Then the handle makes it very portable when outside because it comes up out the shower as if I'm rolling a suitcase. So I'm returning it as of right now to get the extreme 3 as it will be less louder but more portable because I had my JBL extreme 2 on my bike rack for when I'm cruising through the day downtown or along the lake shore, I have a whole Bluetooth radio system on my mountain bike. The boombox 3 would be not necessary to big but weight wise a little extra. Great speaker I do recommend it if you don't have like the party box 310 and want something loud and not as heavy as the 310 but will portable.
You'd never carry a partybox 310 around with you.
The JBL BoomBox 3 can be attached to your back pack, just thread your backpack through the handle and boom it's almost as if you're not even carrying anything really.
Can just walk for hours with your music blasting in the sunlight, bring water with you in your bag and praise the Lord Jesus in the sun, Exercise, Music, Prayer, Sunlight, and the Lord, WINNING!

I was thinking of getting a JBL BoomBox3 and tie it to my backpack, I usually go hiking for around 3 hours with a weighted backpack and steel-caps up hills and all sorts, but I'm not sure I could lug around that 310 for 3 hours, my arm would get pissed off lol. Wonder if you can push it like a trolley infront of you instead of behind, can you at least lock the handle so you can push on it rather than pull it?
I wonder if I could make some shoulder strap for it, 20 kg ain't shit to carry around for a few hours.

The BOOMBOX 3 puts out more bass, but 2 EXTREME 3S are louder in A/C MODE: 100 watts each. The BOOMBOX 3 180 watts.
Like I said before, the BOOMBOX 3 does get lower at 40 HZ, compared to 53.5 HZ for the EXTREME 3. It comes down to budget,convience,bass preference & loudness.

larger speakers usually need less power to get to the same volume as there's more air moved because of the larger cone area
hence why PA speakers can get decently loud on just a few watts of power while a small speaker, even with 50-100W RMS, might not even get that loud
speaker drivers have an "efficiency" which is rated by ...dB @1W

@@BH4x0r Two extreme 3s can be paired together in stereo mode, using partycast. It is a stereo design, with a front left tweeter & driver, along with a front right tweeter & driver.
You may be mistaking the EXTREME 3 with the CHARGE 5. The CHARGE 5 is a mono design, with one diver & tweeter.
Both of these speakers can be paired together in " STEREO, " using PARTYCAST.

Well it all comes down to preference. Like me Imma hog the BB3 in my man cave so I'll go with BB3. But if yall outdoors kind of people. Cannot go wrong with 2pcs of Xtreme3 as when you're going outdoor just take 1 with you. It's smaller and compact. As BB3 is larger to carry around.

why would you buy 2x xtreme 3?? 😂 its supposed to be a portable outdoor speaker, and nobody wants to carry around 2 of them 😂 I think the xtreme 3 is the better outdoor speaker due to its size and portability, but the boombox 3 is obviously bigger and louder, but better suited for indoor use or maybe a bbq or sth.

You can spend less & get better sound with the CHARGE 5, not to mention better battery life. With the pulse 5, you're basically just paying for the light show.

@@loitersquadX I'm not sure how much wattage & sound it puts out; I've never listened to it. I know it's a sister brand of BOSE, so I'm sure it sounds decent. Also, I couldn't tell you about bass response as well.
I only made the comment comparison up above for two reasons: Every review that I have watched about the PULSE 5 all day the same thing ( you can spend less money & get better sound & bass response with the CHARGE 5.
Also, I personally own the CHARGE 5, & honestly, to say it's only a mono design speaker, with the EQ set to flat, at 50 -60 percent volume it does sound really good, with a full sounding bass response.
Sometime in the immediate future, I'll be purchasing another one to pair together in STEREO MODE. 80 watts total RMS. Volume wise, anything above 50 -60 percent, & distortion starts to set in, because the mids & bass are competing for power, coming out of the same driver.
You can pick one up on E - BAY, for $119.99 -$125.99. before taxes. Stay out of the local stores, you'll pay to much

I really struggle to understand how you can't hear it and say they sound the same.
Nevertheless, If you already own an extreme 3 like me, and don't need the real high volume for outdoors like the beach where there's a lot of background noise -
I'd suggest getting another extreme 3, it sounds great and I BET the ability to sound from 2 different angles will make a big difference, especiall indoors.
I wish NewStuff did a more profound sound test and let us hear the extremes from different angles so that we could hear the difference, as it is a major part of the whole comparison.

I think JBL's warranty sucks. One user's battery exploded in boombox 2 after 1.5 years of light use. JBL refused to replace it. There goes his $450. So I'm not investing into this brand and won't recommend it to anybody..
