    I used some plastic grinder wheels to clean all my pistons and cylinder walls. The hardest part was making sure I didn't mess the timing up. But I did, got it fixed going to start it tonight. Good luck with your build man !

    Nice one brother!! Keep up the great content. Very few youtubers make videos on an engine such as the ga16de.

      Yes, I'll have more content on the ga16de for sure, but I know one day I'll make the change for SR, but not anytime soon.. 😊

    Big props bro. Yo también tengo una sentra con el mismo motor. 1998 nissan sentra, manual. Y apenas ayer le tuve k remplecer mi alternador. I too am doing all the work myself. I gotta see your videos because I need to do my timing as well.

      When I start to assemble everything back I'm planning on showing to do the timing.
      I have never do it on this engine, but I had done it on other cars.

      @@G2GBuilds No, gracias a ti, for doing this lol. Just because I like my car and want to have it longer. I like having my little stick shift hahaha. Pero Ojalá my car can last just longer, ni ha sido un año k tengo el carro.

      @@G2GBuilds y si. Por eso me gustan los older sentras. Y muchas gracias de nuevo por ayudar nos a los k tenemos el ga16de. I would love to turbo mine like yours. But Idk if id want to deal with the whole build itself and then to dyno it lol. Alot of work. I just gotta do things now to get it running better like doing the timing and also replacing the shocks that are shot. Its riding on 17's, 205/40 17. I wanna go to 215/45 17, I got them from someone who had a honda.

      Now you have me thinking..
      I can't remember if the fuel line from the filter goes into the fuel rail or goes back to fuel tank.

      Yes, the line underneath of the filter goes back to the tank. Some of it is a rubber hose and then change to metal hard line I believe.

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you can. Anything can be turbocharge. You must make sure you get fuel upgrades and tune in order to don't hurt your engine.

      I don't have no high compression pistons for the engine so if I turbo it can I still get good power from it with the stock pistons

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can boost it with stock pistons. I'll recommend about 7psi with the right fuel upgrades and tune ecu for it.

    Do you know anything about how close this engine is to the E16 in the B12 sentra? i am looking to do the GA16DE swap into my B12 because it is just too slow and blowing out oil.

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey..
      I'm not sure how close the e16 and ga16de, but I know that the b12 came ga16i, which is almost the same block as the ga16de.
      I have seen people even doing sr20ve into the b12 too. Most likely you will need the engine and the ecu to either swap (ga16de or sr swap).

    Great video as usual man. I’ve got a 1994 B13 with the GA. I think it’s time for an even swap or refresh....I don’t know yet. Mine has about 293,000 miles so I don’t know if it’s worth overhauling it. Thanks for your info, man!!

      Refresh or swap depends on power goals.. Refresh for a daily or swap for a weekend/daily fun car.

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly, i don't know. All 4 pistons should be the same. But if they have a groove, maybe they have a different compression ratio. The stock compression ratio of my pistons is 9.5:1.

    According to the pistons and the slaves, course op problem might be fuel oversampling. Hotshots on pistons and decarbunised crown surfaces, is a big giveaway. Did you look for cause of problem?

    • @G2GBuilds
      @G2GBuilds  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      This engine went into a lean mixtures under 10psi which cause to lift the headgasket and crack two pistons.
