Hopefully some of the younger generations learn about these cars and how easy it is to swap an sr20 into any b14 and stomp on your honda friends . se-r > si
Your video series on the SR20 swap is very informative. The details helped me a lot! Thank you. I was able to remove my GA16 in about three hours. Now I’m going through the SR20 getting it ready to install.
I have a B13 with almost 300,000 miles in need of an engine refresh. I’ve always wanted to do the sr20 swap but just thinking of all the things that need swapping to I would hesitate. Seeing your video had got me thinking on finally trying this out. Keep up the great work!!!!
Soooo informative my man! I said it before and I’ll say it again- you’ve got skills and a way with teaching and giving instructions. That’s a great gift to have! It’s as if the SR20-Dash days have come to life! Better even! Keep doing what you do and thank you 😉🤙🏼
This is incredible man, so helpful! My first car was a B13 with the GA16DE I wanted to make an SE-R with my dad, but he passed and the car met its demise too after a while before I got the chance. I might just have to get into the SR20 game after all seeing these vids though this has me pumped to start wrenching on shit again. Thanks bro 😎
I'm literally pulling my GA15de out as we speak. I got a u13 bluebird as the donor and took pretty much everything out of the engine bay just incase, as its going in a y10 wingroad (like an AD). So I'm interested to see if there's any difference in bits needed, from old sentra forum posts it seems like trans mount and rear engine mount. The wiring is dead easy tho as it all comes out in one piece connected to the engine. In my case the most head scratching is over the axles/outer cv joint splines. If the length is OK then its not too much trouble to get new outers. Again in my case I think I will use Y11 knuckles and hubs and do a twin pot brake swap at the same time. Rambling over, cheers
I wish i wouldve found this before swapping the stock engine for a rebuilt one in my 97 sentra. I pilled the engine out the top. Your way looks way easier lmao
Mad shout out for this production. Just doing a refreshening on my B14 engine and this gave me a lot of ideas on how to approach it. Esp love the way you pop up the bolt sizes/wrenches...quality work my man.
Awesome video @sr20tech82 for someone like me just diving into my 95 B14. I'm doing an SR20DET swap. I'm running into an issue trying to find an SE-R Trans and carrier bearing. I know that you can use a G20 trans; Can I get the carrier bearing from a G20 car and bolt that to my B14? When you did the cable conversion on the G20 trans, did you use the 1.6 trans cable parts to bolt to the G20 trans to do the cable conversion?
SE-R clutch fork, and SE-R clutch cable. If you use a g20 trans make sure it’s from a G20T. Regular g20 is open Diff. The axle carrier needs to be from a 91-94 Sentra SE-R, 95-97 200SX SE-R, 91-93 NX2000, or 94-99 G20T
@@sr20tech82 Thanks so much for the reply man, I appreciate it! That's good to know about the G20T trans, I knew some were LSD but I wasn't sure if it was a trim level difference, etc. Any idea how I'd source the SE-R fork? Rock Auto's got the cable, though they all show slightly different lengths, but I can't find a clutch fork.
@@sr20tech82 I completely forgot to ask; Do you have IG? I've been building up my parts stash for my SR20DET swap, Was wondering if I could pick your brain sometime if that's cool; These videos are insanely valuable to anyone going this route!
Good Stuff right here. A detailed GA16-SR20 swap is gonna help alot of folks. Old school Nissans still getting love.

Great video one of the best videos I’ve seen for a 200sx 💪
Thanks for sharing this great material.
Keep the good work!
I'm going through the same process, but with a non rr 99 g20. Gonna be waiting till you finish before I tackle mine.

The ga16 harness can work but I won’t be using it. In part 2, I will go over all the parts used for the swap
Hey bro love your content keep up the good work

I'm swapping also by chance you have a pic of how you doing your harness
Harness was from a B14 200sx SE-R. It’s completely plug n play
I need someone like this to help me wire my ga16 ecu and basically all the car

How much should it cost me to swap my b14 sr20 to the det version if I buy the sr20det myself ?
Can the ga16 transmission be used because I want the lsd from the ga transmission
Quick question bro my GA16DE blew up can i use a GA16DE from a 95-98?? Its hard to find b13 in my area. Any differences?
My car is a B13 btw
Yes you can. Just transfer over the b13 intake manifold. It should be plug n play from there
👍
Hello sir. In one of your videos you mentioned a B13 with K20 AWD trans. Can you please point me on the right direction?
Mazworx makes the k series adapter plate. The Rear end/subframe will either need to come from a GTiR or be custom fab’d
Bro, i am wondering why the 1.6 engine didnt swivel after you removed the cross member?
It moved a little. I guess it just the way the video is edited
perfect guide. 🎉 do you think of sell ga16de head 😅
I sold the entire GA16DE swap for $50 USD. The GA16 has no value in the United States
Part 2 to be continue ?
Correct. Part 2 will be “parts list” for the sr20 swap
What model and size What model and what size are your wheels? width and offset? greetings from Mexico

Are u in Jamaica
No Bredda, I am in USA (Atlanta, Georgia)
Hi, want to ask u. Did tie rod end & rack end from b14 are same with n15 sr16ve?
I am not sure. We never got the N15 in the USA
@@sr20tech82 in your conversion did u use back the rack end & tie rod end from b14
@@zeroeve I did not touch the steering rack or tie rods on this car. They are factory B14
@@sr20tech82 ok, tq for your feedback.
Would this be the same for a SR20DET out of the same year of b14?
Same steps just add an intercooler and piping to it
Can this be done on a 99 Sentra GXE 5 spd?
Absolutely
is it possible to make the ser b14 awd?
Anything is possible, it’ll take some fabrication tho
How hard is it to swap into a b13?
Very easy. B13 and b14 are very similar. The only difference would be the harness and ecu used
Should work with a b12?
No. B12 is a completely different platform. You may be able to make it work though.
@@sr20tech82 ive adapted the 91 sentra 1.6 into my b12, i gota watch the video again maybe i can see what i would need to tweak
It's same with b13?
B13 a little different but the same principle
Do u have a contact information I have a b14 can u do a Engine swap for me
I can. Send me a DM of Facebook (Cameron McFarlin) or on IG (SR20s rule)
