NORWAY CRUISE 🇳🇴 Part 2 - P&O Iona - Olden - Briksdal Glacier & Loen Skylift

- June 10th 2023 We set sail on a 7 day cruise onboard P&O cruises Iona to the Norwegian fjords!
Come and see the amazing early morning views as we sail through the fjords before docking at Olden. We then take a short coach trip to the foot of Briksdal glacier and hike all the way to the top! After that we head over to the Loen Skylift for a birds eye view of the fjords below.

How fantastic to have that forward facing cabin for moments like that. Great photography on the sail into the fjord, and loved that timelapse.
You had perfect weather to capture those images from the top of the skylift. And that was a great tip about checking the live camera feed.
Were you tight on time doing both the glacier and the skylift? I’m taking a cruise soon that also stops in Olden but am a little worried we won’t have time for both!
We had more than enough time to do both! We did the glacier first and we’re back around lunch then took the bus straight to the sky lift and had plenty of time to explore.
@@DecandChloe Awesome, thanks! I like your plan of doing the glacier through the cruise line but then paying for the skylift at the dock. That way if the weather had been terrible you weren’t out the skylift money!
How long was the hike to the glacier?
Did you go on a tour to get to the glacier?
Yes we did it as an excursion through P&O
How long did it take you to walk to the glacier and back. We are going on the same cruise on Saturday
Just under 2 hours depending how many times you stop for pictures like we did! Hope you have a great time!

Certainly the steepest in price as well , we came back yesterday , family of 5 it was a rainy and cloudy day when we went , you couldn’t see anything going up and while up there , was only there for 10 mins and came down again ,
