  • June 10th 2023 we set sail on a 7 day cruise onboard P&O cruises Iona to the Norwegian fjords!
As we port in the beautiful small town of Hellesylt we take a small ferry through Geirangerfjord where we pass the 7 sisters waterfall on the way into the town of Geiranger. From there we take a coach up to the summit of Mount Dalsnibba and take in some of the most breathtaking scenery we have ever seen! Driving back down the 61 hairpin turns! we stopped at Flydalsjuvet view point one of the most photographed spots in Norway.
Another one not to be missed on this amazing cruise.

We were on the same cruise as you and it has been great to experience the excursions we didn't get to go on through your videos. Thank you for sharing.

This is a great video thank you. How many stops did this have on the way up and how long in total where you on the coach for?

Great video. We are booked with Norway's Best for this excursion but we have a question for you both. Which side of the ferry is better for photographing the scenery? I'm asking because I'm a photographer. Also, we booked the ferry coming right in an hour after we arrived in Geiranger. We do have a choice to stay for 3 to 4 hours. Do you recommend we stay? Is there anything to see in the town of Geiranger?

We just stood at the top dec of the ferry so we could get all angles but both sides are just as amazing! The town is very small on our excursion we only had about an hour to see it, Personally the views of Geiranger are better than spending time in the town.

@@DecandChloe thank you. I agree and so that's why we are returning back to Hellesylt to explore the town more especially to take pictures of the waterfall.

Enjoyed the Video we did the Mount Dals-Nibba on a days excursion from a P&O ship that actually docked at Geiranger, our excursion started in Geiranger included lunch and eventually dropped us off at Hellesylt for us to catch the ferry back to Geiranger to board the ship. So we actually cruised past the seven sisters waterfall 3 times, twice in board the ship and once on the ferry. I also highly recommend the Dalsnibba excursion.

Would you recommend the front facing cabin?

Yes definitely! Front or back for the best views but keep in mind at the front it can be very windy!
