It is a lovely masculine Larch and my only thought is next time you could take more roots off so you can get the potting angle a little further around and in the position you originallyy picked. It is often the root bundle and pot limitations that force us to alter our intended angles. It is good to see we both picked the same place for the front initially :)
Yes and no. I have a few trees on the garage cold frame with some slow bud movement. But the trees in the PSGF are definitely waking up more and it’s also healthier looking.
Very nice video Dave and a very simple step by step tutorial on styling this tree. I think its looking brilliant and will only get better with time
Fun stuff Dave!!
I loved the discussion of placement in the pot. It’s always an adventure. Another nice tree from Candice. You are a lucky fellow.
Nice tutorial on this tree. Easy to understand your step by step method. Superb!!!!!
You covered a lot of ground in one sitting! I can definitely see a more energetic flow of movement from roots to apex. It looks mature, yet vigorous.
Loving the larch Dave! You did a fantastic job!
Thanks Jay! Excited to have a nice tree in my collection!!
Foist again!
I like the front at 01:12 (before seeing the root bundle). Now I need to see what decisions you make....

What would the contrast be like filming with the plywood background???
Would prolly help with the constantly changing focus on this one.
Not sure. Might work. My biggest issue is so much sun. So I need to experiment more. Definitely one of the upgrades to the PSGF this year.
Are the buds popping because it's in the PSGF?

Why not wire the brach on right so not level with left
An option.
Good info can’t see much either you in the way or to dark such a pity the area in PSGF too small such a pity
Yeah I’ll be making some small changes to help that.
Dont cut wire!
Dont chop!! Please
