i really like christopher ward as a brand. theyre unique and they show it in their design. its not the same stuff that we have been seeing for the past decade. subs and vintage subs and such are a dime a dozen now and you can get them with nh35 movements up to whatever rolex is using now. i get that its a classic design but there should be other more adventurous designs out there like what cw is doing. i love the name at 9 thing and the flag logo up top. i think microbrands are on the comeup in the watch world as people realize that rolex and ap and patek arent the be all end all of a good watch. especially now that you can readily buy a pt5000 or a sw200 online for a far more reasonable price than the eta and get the same performance benefits. meanwhile im just here waiting on a ne35 supply to come around so that the nh watches can up their game
Hello Josh, I bought this watch in November because of the sapphire dial. I love the watch. This is my first CW watch. I am also impressed with how accurate the watch is. Great review as always.
Nice review. I think this watch walks the line perfectly of being simple and complex. It's very easy to read the time - just a glance and you're good. But if you want to take a longer look, there is all sorts of detail and complication but it's all very subtle. They've really nailed that with this watch.
I have the grey dial version of this. This is a cool watch, excellent quality. No complaints at all. As with all CW what you get for the price point is stunning.
I’ve been eyeing this watch for some time now and when my wife said she would buy me a watch for our upcoming anniversary I needed to be certain. I have collected watches for many years and am fortunate to own quite a few high end models. I live in the US, my brother in England introduced me to the Christopher Ward brand as he owns a few. I was impressed by the overall style and fine finish for the price point. After seriously looking at their website I narrowed it down to a couple of models. I have to say that after I watched your video review of the C60 Sapphire and saw the incredible detail that they have in its case and dial, I made up my mind and now have one on order with the bracelet and the blue and orange hybrid strap. Thanks for making a quality video that absolutely made up my mind to purchase this sight unseen. I subscribed to your channel and will be sure to follow your reviews in the future. Cheers.
Thanks for watching and sharing this with me, I appreciate that! I think you made a good choice! I really like a lot of what CW is doing! Happy anniversary and enjoy this watch!
I am definitely buying this watch, it’s outstanding for this price such great value, may get both straps bracelet and rubber, the blue sapphire actually sold it for me, I have a Longines grande classique for dress, which is beautiful also, but this will make a great daily watch, thanks for the video as buying off the website can be a minefield, but it looks great on video 👍👍
This is one of those watches that I probably wouldn't gravitate towards on my own, but if somebody pointed me to it (like you have) man......I really like it! Unfortunately, it's way out of my price range. I'm one that would rather own 6 decent watches than spend the money on this ONE watch. But, this is quality...can't argue that! And I LOVE the signature at the 9 o'clock...especially with the date complication...it balances out.
I think it is very cool. Super good looking watch. Loving that pop of orange on the second hand. I would have to get it on the bracelet though. Great video my friend. 🤟🏻
Another Excellent review as always Josh. My CW C65 is the pride and joy of my collection at the moment. The lightcatcher case is just phenomenal and so pleasing to the eye. The C60 Sapphire is just a cool watch...and you do it justice 👍😁
I really like the design of the watch, especially the dial, if I had the budget I would definitely be interested in purchasing one, thank you for show casing it! I'd call it a sapphire club sandwich.
It’s a very nice looking watch Josh. Has an overall modern look to me so I’m not completely sold! The Saphire dial is pretty innovative and daring! Wonder who thought to do it!!!? Great show my friend!!!
Russel!!! Thanks for watching my friend! This one is more of a modern one for sure! Do you have a submission for what to call a “sapphire sandwich” with a sapphire center?
Really like that case design much nicer than the usual current trend of very slab sided cases. Now I'm probably going to take some flak for this but I've never really "got" Christopher Ward as a brand & I don't really know why, their quality is undeniable but I just don't seem to be able to love them. I know! Go & sit in the corner of shame!!! 😅 It's still a nice watch & great review.
Thanks for watching Adrian! CW is definitely unique, they have their own flavor for sure and it’s probably not for everyone. So far with the two watches I’ve had in from them I am impressed!
The light catcher case is also on a few other of their pieces, including the Moonglow I showed you at the diner. Thanks for breakfast again bud. Next one is on me. This one is a keeper. Should ask Rosie for a deep discount considering you scratched it all up. 😁
Hey Joe...did you get a CW C1 Moonglow and were you showing Josh the watch in the flesh so to speak...or were you just both drooling over some internet watch porn??? 😉😁😜
@@kevintyrrell9559 hey bud. We actually met and I had the watch on my wrist. I just did an unboxing on my channel of the CW Moonglow. You should check it out bud.
😂 Hey! It wasn’t scratched up that bad!!! 😅 Glad we could meet up for breakfast my friend! Don’t think I’m going to keep this one but I did enjoy my time with it!
What is your wrist size? I have a 6.5 inch wrist, and I'm debating whether or not to get the hybrid strap for my C63. Looks like you have a wrist size similar to mine. Does the strap pinch the sides of your wrist?
Good timing for this review. I was just on the CW website last night. I was looking at this watch and drooling. Cool design. Btw CW has big discounts on their compressor dive watch in black. About $600 on strap. About $400 off. Is this one a keeper?
Thanks for watching! I heard that CW was having a good sale! I’ll be sending it back, if I wanted to keep it I’d have to buy it and I don’t have the funds for a watch of this price right now!
Nice review. It really is a really nice watch. The sapphire dial is interesting, the execution is done very well. I actually purchased the Trident Pro 600, white dial 42mm. It’s same case design, slightly larger. I really like the white dial, the sapphire is not for me. I did not like that you can see the date she’ll and screwheads. Also not a huge blue dial person.
The wife gifted me this beauty for Christmas. Mine came on the SS bracelet. By the way, you’d have to really go out of your way to cut yourself! In fact, had you & another You Tube critic hadn’t brought up this supposed issue, I would never have notice it! Good review!
How about the Blue Oreo for the dial/lens treatment? I find the quality and appearance of this watch very appealing and I am seriously considering purchasing it.
5:44 is the only reason why I didn't buy this watch. I didn't want someone to see the watch on my wrist and touch it and say ah now I see the problem. I just saved myself the embarrassment.
@@TheTownWatch no I'm serious. For some a grand is nothing but it is a big deal for me. So I would choose wisely where I spend my money. Thanks to TH-cam before buying anything you always check all reviews.

Yeah absolutely! CW is doing some out of the ordinary things for sure! Thanks for watching!
Imagine if they made a green, red and black version, hell even an orange, could be such a huge seller for CWard for sure. Nice review Josh
Thanks for watching man! Yeah that would be cool! I believe they a watch with a black colored sapphire dial.
They made a black version. I think it just got released
I saw the recently released black one in their Loupe magazine. It's beautiful

This is the only real sapphire sandwich, because you don't call any sandwich 'bread sandwich.' It's what's in the middle that names the sandwich.
