I’ve lived on the road for over 6+ years, tried the vanlife which was great, but now living in my Airstream is the perfect balance, I don’t ever think about moving into a brick&mortar or miss it. I lover to live in State Parks and National Parks... Life is what you make of it!!

We had a 25’ Airstream Flying Cloud with the rear bedroom. We traveled full time for 2 years. I remember having those windows open and banging my head on them many times. Nice trailer!

I bought a lil Guy Max in honor of my father Guy in November and it’s still winterized and I was paralyzed because of all that’s gone wrong so far and just a week ago today I crunched my ac unit at the car wash!! I cried and wanted to sell it and then I put my big girl panties on and have kept putting one foot in front of the other and stumbled upon this video just now and honestly it was a God send for it sure boosted my esteem! Thanks lady!! Now I wanna get out there and go for it!!!
@@Rejoicewithsinging I’m so happy to hear that! For what it’s worth, it seemed like everything went wrong for me this January. I had to push back my trip three weeks after getting sick, then blowing two tires, which damaged my airstream and I had to take it to the shop to get repaired. On the way back from picking it up, I hit a pole and put a big ole dent on the side. I thought the universe was telling me this whole trip was a bad idea, but I’m glad I didn’t get stuck on that thought and I wouldn’t trade these past few months on the road for anything. 💕

Did you know that Jackson Center Ohio is the home of Airstream and once a year a lot of those silver tubes come home, I remember it one year when I was working in that city, and saw a silver shimmer across fields and fields of them.

Hey great rig! And good for you for just doing it. One tip I've always been told to do- is cross the safety chains on the hitch. It doesn't look like yours are. I've towed lots of things over the years, and if it meant lengthening the chains, I did it. Cheers!!!

makes no difference to show license plates or tags in videos. It's in public view in public eyes for 100's of people to see everyday. There is no scam or hack going around where someone can take that information and do anything of value with it. Its just a non sense superstition that people have been saying for years but has no warrant or actual proof of any wrong doing.
I have a vintage 28' 1974 Silver Streak TT that I renovated. It's floorplan is similar to the older Airstream, but more like an Avion. I do have a passion for these tin cans! I'm glad she has found the balancing act of life! 👍🙂

When I was a kid, we'd join family at camp and they had an Airstream trailer...not as long as her's nor as fancy but lots of upgrades over the last 65 yrs or so.👍 So yeah, I'd full-time in one.😎

Just got a 23ft camper to start our adventures, unfortunately we( hubby and I) still have 4.5 years left at school but then plan to travel a lot. LOVE this! I am getting ready to sell my house in 2 weeks and I am trying to figure out how to make vanlife vs RVlife work. I am an ER nurse and I have 2 cats (they are my first priority) so I need to be able to keep them safe and warm or cool, depending on the season, while I would be at work. I am so envious of people who are living’ the dream have so much freedom!
@@TravisTravels I currently live in Minnesota, so it’s very cold in the winter and VERY hot and humid in the summer. My plan is to travel though, I don’t want to stay in MN. I will probably do travel nursing. There is just no way that I would leave my cats in a van without heat or or air, nobody should leave an animal in a hot or cold vehicle. A van just gives a lot more freedom, but an RV may be more sensible for me. Love your content!
@@iheartcolorado9311 Thank you so much. I know a few traveling nurses doing vanlife. I think you have consider accessibility too. I don't know about hospitals and parking for employees but I'm willing to bet they aren't ok with RV's in the parking lot. But a van they are. Every person I've met on the road is always conscious about leaving their pets in the vehicle. The cold isn't as much a factor as the heat. As your vehicle should be insulated. And a heater that's ideal for any situation is a diesel heater. Have a maxxair fan on the roof to circulate the air. That'll drop the inside temp by 10 to 15 degrees depending on where you are. Also get a pet camera, so you can monitor the temps inside the vehicle as well as check in on your pets when you want on your phone. A/C is out of the question. But I know of a new swamp cooler that can run off 200 watts of solar.
That is awesome 🤗. I like the airstreams as they are simple compact with a great look. I think more people should do this. I will by in a year but am looking to boondock %95 of the time, I want to be a off grid demigod god 😂 so I will go solar with portable gas generators for backup. Enjoy your time out in nature and be safe 🤗.

My wife and I travel in a 2011 27’ FB Classic very like yours. It’s everything we need and we love it. You’ll love yours too I bet.

I am an ER nurse and I have 2 cats (they are my first priority) so I need to be able to keep them safe and warm or cool, depending on the season, while I would be at work. I am so envious of people who are living’ the dream have so much freedom!
What is the average temps where you live during the summer?
@@TravisTravels I currently live in Minnesota, so it’s very cold in the winter and VERY hot and humid in the summer. My plan is to travel though, I don’t want to stay in MN. I will probably do travel nursing. There is just no way that I would leave my cats in a van without heat or or air, nobody should leave an animal in a hot or cold vehicle. A van just gives a lot more freedom, but an RV may be more sensible for me. Love your content!
@@iheartcolorado9311 Thank you so much. I know a few traveling nurses doing vanlife. I think you have consider accessibility too. I don't know about hospitals and parking for employees but I'm willing to bet they aren't ok with RV's in the parking lot. But a van they are. Every person I've met on the road is always conscious about leaving their pets in the vehicle. The cold isn't as much a factor as the heat. As your vehicle should be insulated. And a heater that's ideal for any situation is a diesel heater. Have a maxxair fan on the roof to circulate the air. That'll drop the inside temp by 10 to 15 degrees depending on where you are. Also get a pet camera, so you can monitor the temps inside the vehicle as well as check in on your pets when you want on your phone.
A/C is out of the question. But I know of a new swamp cooler that can run off 200 watts of solar.

That is awesome 🤗. I like the airstreams as they are simple compact with a great look. I think more people should do this. I will by in a year but am looking to boondock %95 of the time, I want to be a off grid demigod god 😂 so I will go solar with portable gas generators for backup.
