Have the same camper . My girlfriend bought a water can for flowers with a spout . She used for shaving her legs . She would shower fill the can . Shave her legs and use the spout when needed .
I understand about not using the toilet. I didn’t use my truck camper toilet for #2 for a long time then one day I was at Yellowstone and it couldn’t be helped and I remember feeling strange that I had my poop in a tank on my truck. It felt like I was driving a porta potty around.

It's always an eye-opener when you put pen to paper and see how much travel really costs. If you take the time to figure ALL the costs associated with any type of travel, you'll find they're not far from one another. Keep up the great work.
Since we're a bit elderly, we are reluctantly switching from tent camping to maybe pick up truck camping so we have been looking at various videos to see which camper would work out best for us. One video showed equal amount of cabinets since each side of the camper mirrors each other. Those of us "seasoned" guys know that "his and hers" isnt true. Its "hers and hers" and lets see where to put your stuff (This even happens at home too!)

In Alaska in the article circle they have a tree all by itself with a sign next to it saying it is the last tree. Because of the permafrost no trees can grow past that point.

Rebecca, they have a shaver for ladies. no water. I bought a cheaper one, but it works. You guys are awesome. if you have a walgreens up there - there is a no rinse bath wash. its great we use it for my dad. if you go to the adult care section they have that and a hair wash no rinse and other things. ( a little goes a long way) I worked in nursing homes and hospitals and you would be amazed at what is out there, I also use a leave in conditioner, works great! If you look online they also have a hair wash shower cap- its a bit expensive but it works really good too - no rinse. Working with the elderly and handicapped can be like camping- we cant get them in a shower so we have to be creative.

Lets see I have not used my black tank for over 50 years and still have not used my black tank in my fifth wheel. You guys went a long ways for a short amount of time, I would of spent more time (like winter) looking and living in the places you went through. Your gas mileage is about right, in the winter mpg goes down about 20% because of the fuel and temps. My wife washes her hair in the kitchen sink using a large pot of warm water and that works for her. I do it too, but it is a lot easier for guys than gals. We stay in RV parks once or twice a week to take care of shaving the legs, recharging batteries, water and tank dump. I love the fact you two have grown together so close in a short period of time in a very small space. Keep living the dream and find some land!

What I started doing in 1978, was a booklet with columns for Km's date of, odometers readings. (hour if?) LIters and dollars spent. The other things you can note is oil changes, maintenance done with invoice number. Etc which then is a legal document with bills for what you have done. There was a big old tree West of Port Alberni about ?? 10 to 15 mins?? Always wanted to see it, was in the newspaper many years ago. Hello, We have a AF 1150 we ordered it with a rollover lounge instead of the dinette and it adds much more space in the living area and kitchen, we looked all over for one on the lot with this rollover lounge but had to order it, also it gives much more room when slide out is in easier to get in and out, Your camper is very nice, God Bless,,,,

Taylor I have a few suggestions to make your videos more enjoyable. First use a small dash cam to add more video when driving, such a camera is not expensive and capable in low light conditions, at night, you may turn it towards you when you want to speak to camera. Second it’s good to use a gimbal to hold camera steady and have more professional video when you walk, I think there are gimbals with reasonable prices, make a search. Dslr camera and point and shoot cameras doesn’t have the same color quality so you have to adjust color balance during editing. I wish to say thank you for smiles and positive attitude you give to us keep that way.Thank you!!!

Your RV life sounds familiar. Our small motor home has the heads of twin beds next to the bathroom door. Fortunately, it also has a REALLY loud bathroom ceiling fan!!! Safe travels to you guys. You're obviously still talking to one another after that huge trip. That's awesome!
Fuck yeah the big lonely Doug is awesome! I'd recommend offloading the camper before trying to get to it. The last stretch has quite a few tree branches that'll probably pinstripe the camper!
2017 ram 3500 dually diesel, 1150 is awesome. I do pull a trailer tge only down side is I have to run a super hitch with a 48 inch hitch extension. When I want to disconnect the extension and chain tensioners off. Takes about 30mins to completely de rig. Is side tge camper is awesome soooooo much room I've had 15people partying inside so far. Good times. Full send.

Great insight into the lifestyle on the road. In Japan they have musical toilets to drown out the the noise as they live in tiny spaces. If you flew to the west coast and hired a car and stayed in hotels I'm not sure that you saved a lot. For getting away for weekends it makes perfect sense though.
When you mentioned Tshirts. Please have them with pockets, long sleeves if possible. Looking forward to ordering. Carhart type quality. Love the videos, our family really enjoy watching. Oh, those gas prices! What is diesel going for?
For the "Shave your legs" issue, I find since you have to do so much of it without the water on..1. fill a cup with water for dipping the razor into and 2. its helpful to use the mens Gillette style foamy cream, sorry I dont know exactly what its called but the kind you press down on, squirts a little gel and then it poofs up into fluffy white foam. I typically find its easier to shave without water when that is lathered all over my legs and then again the rinse cup is key. Im in a travel trailer so im not sure for you, I have to stand on one leg and press my other leg up against the wall, but perhaps you can sit on the toilet in a wet bath style set up and put your leg somewhere? Good luck and dont fall :)

This was so cute! My wife and I have been married over 40 years and we travel in a 10.5 foot SunLite pickup camper. We lived in a big house, raised kids, saved money, and retired to visit National Parks. I didn't expect that we would take our relationship to a new level after traveling for two months in such a small space but we did. I have a 6.7 F350 that carries the SunLite very well with 11 miles/gallon of diesel. Keep living the dream (and Rebecca is a great addition to your life0. Invite us to the wedding?
Questions for Rebecca what ever happened to "Marv" the camper van? Is "Marv to heavy to tow or toad behind the T/C? Would that give you other driving options to site see once you get to areas you want to investigate? If not what about replacing "Marv" with something a bite lighter and thriftier with a camper shell other topper? I think it would give you both a greater sense of independence on the road across Canada or all North America. I loved your TransCanada videos. This one is great too. Suggestions based on my own setup. I have an 02' Chevy dually, reg cab 8.1 liter Allison trans, Lance 1172 T\C, and pull and 05' hummer h2 SUT All of which are quite heavy but still manage to stay under the 22K lbs. GCWR limit. Sound like you both have already overcome most of the tight space issues. As for money we all have that issue in one form or another. I like the tee shirt idea over the coffee mug do to shipping cost.

Getting a used / new truck camper, what maintenance would I need to perform? How often? (example: flushing the sewage system with cleaner, re-sealing things?) do you have a video more on this?

Where are you buying fuel in the northern USA that’s half price of Canadian fuel?? We often travel to New York State and with their fuel price and our exchange rate, the fuel is pretty much the same cost.
Just ordered my stickers (medium/small). For my cap camper and future transit van camper . I call myself Home On The Road and I'm thinking my own cool sticker. Yours looks great. The heads up on gas was good to know. I only have a F250 crew cab gas engine so I don't see it being that much plus it's a cap camper. Have you considered putting together a mud motor? You can buy a kit to mount to a horizontal shaft engine for pretty cheap.

Questions for Rebecca what ever happened to "Marv" the camper van? Is "Marv to heavy to tow or toad behind the T/C? Would that give you other driving options to site see once you get to areas you want to investigate? If not what about replacing "Marv" with something a bite lighter and thriftier with a camper shell other topper? I think it would give you both a greater sense of independence on the road across Canada or all North America.
I loved your TransCanada videos. This one is great too. Suggestions based on my own setup. I have an 02' Chevy dually, reg cab 8.1 liter Allison trans, Lance 1172 T\C, and pull and 05' hummer h2 SUT All of which are quite heavy but still manage to stay under the 22K lbs. GCWR limit.
Sound like you both have already overcome most of the tight space issues. As for money we all have that issue in one form or another. I like the tee shirt idea over the coffee mug do to shipping cost.

Getting a used / new truck camper, what maintenance would I need to perform? How often? (example: flushing the sewage system with cleaner, re-sealing things?) do you have a video more on this?

Just ordered my stickers (medium/small). For my cap camper and future transit van camper . I call myself Home On The Road and I'm thinking my own cool sticker. Yours looks great. The heads up on gas was good to know. I only have a F250 crew cab gas engine so I don't see it being that much plus it's a cap camper. Time will tell when I get to Rouleau, Saskatchewan a place I want to visit. Take care happy travels
