Great time at Springfield was had by all it looks! You got some great video of all the things brought to sell. Lovely that you got to see lots of people there too! Thanks Laura! 😎 💙💙💙 😎 🐦🐦🐦
I so enjoyed seeing all the wonderful treasures Laura❤️ The best part for me was seeing your adorable grand baby🥰 He is precious 🥰 Being a grandma is the best isn’t it? Take care and say hi to Mary Beth🥰
Hi, Laura! It was so much fun seeing you at Springfield, I'm glad I had some stuff I could wholesale and that you liked...only problem is that show was so busy, I didn't get to do the scavenger hunt (and I only had 4 of those things in my space!) I'll have to hang out with you on Flippin' & Sippin' to catch up!
It's so huge! Yet it's still the best show I do in the Midwest, despite all the "competition" so many serious collectors come that there''s plenty for everyone!
I saw a flip flops key chain. Too bad I didn't see it then...Pam needs it. LOL Great video! It was so nice meeting you in-person. You got pictures with some people that I never even saw there. Max is adorable.
I missed a bunch of things when I was filming too Laura! You rocked your scavenger hunt..great job!! & I love the little glass Lenox pumpkins you found🧡
great time, btw Frozen Charlottes are naked, the penny dolls are marked Japan and are dressed. I agree, safety pin art is not tramp art, tramp art is usually a wood based material. I hope I can make it next year, looks like sooo much fun. I heard a swung vase seller call the murder vases Dragon Teeth....never heard that term before. He deals with a ton of swungs.
So funny you are talking about that vendor with the two rows of boxes that had stuff packed in without paper. I have seen this same vendor at Lawrenceburg Tri State Antique market and thought the same thing you did-that they would make a bargain. I made a pile and took it up to them and the price was way over what I was expecting even at retail. I think I picked out 2 things out of the pile and let them put the rest back. I avoid this vendor every time I see them now-most of the stuff they have is broken or really dirty.
It was so great meeting you! Fun to see you recorded some of the same things. I’m like 3-4 weeks behind in videos though so it will be awhile for mine! Lol
8:05 you didn't see Elvis???? He was in the second house from the left, finishing up brunch. If you had waited a few more minutes, you would have seen him come out.
Just a thought, items are getting harder and harder to find. The dealers had to buy the items for sale. Maybe they should also make a profit also. I know I pay up to bring quality. It cost money to do that. After hearing about the experience for everyone, I get tired of hearing prices too high.
I agree, Corene, there's lots of cheap stuff around but true quality antiques and more valuable vintage items are not always in great supply anymore, especially in certain categories. Professional dealers make a retail market that lets all us resellers have a chance to sell at those retail prices, so the notion that a person will find currently hot items at bargain prices at an Antique Extravaganza is naive. At the same time, there were plenty of things I could buy for resale, and I didn't even get to shop until Sunday morning! I got some great deals which I will now take to serious collectors at another show and sell for their true value.
It really depends on the dealer, I try to sell at a realistic collector retail (or less when I can for resellers). Other dealers there range from full-time specialists who charge top dollar to people who clean out houses and come there twice a year to dump things. It's so huge that you'll see plenty of stuff you can (and can't) afford
I love scavenger hunt list for the flea market!
😃
Aww - Max loves his wind up toy. Too cute.
I have a Tupperware bowl key chain. I put Ibuprofen in it when I travel.
I really liked this video! Good job, Laura! You really captured the fun day! ♥️♥️♥️

As a person just wanting to take things home with me I wasn’t so impressed with the prices either.
