Fun fact: the actual RG 350 is a really great emulation device that actually feels and works better than the Pocket Go. It just feels more premium and has all the buttons for all your PlayStation games. That and arcade games play really well, especially since you can play the vertical ones by rotating the device sideways.
I got the q90a couple months ago, and they fixed a lot of the issues since you made this. And if you put the miyoo firmware on it it fixes even more issues. So if you are ok with a little customization and get it new then I would honestly recommend this as a budget handheld!
Hacking my 3DS was the best decision I’ve ever done. Emulating old games and playing 3DS games, all in the same system! It’s my primary system for emulating games at the moment.
I have a hacked vita and it’s great because it’s really powerful compared to most portable retro emulators. It has no trouble at all with ps1 games, and I think you can get n64 to work pretty well but I haven’t tried it yet.
I have a hacked 3DS. Imo it doesn't emulate overly well. It struggles with some arcade titles, and even some SNES titles. But maybe I'm not using the best software. What are you running to play games?
"The only benefit I see to this thing is that it's available." Bob, don't talk about me that way, man. I also have a car. And, I suppose, as a delivery driver, I am classified as "essential".
I went a bid mad when I was looking at emulation handhelds and said screw it and picked up a Vita to hack, having an OLED model it's nice but it did cost me 110$ before shipping on Ebay but on the upside all those lovely Vita games are now available as well which is what I've ended up playing the most on my Vita since I got it. Which makes sense as Vita games was part of why I decided to spend the extra money to get a Vita, I just didn't expect to get sucked into it's library as far as I have been.

I think the reason why GBA emulation is the best on these is that the GBA uses ARM CPU as well as these devices. So the code basically runs natively, they just have to emulate a firmwave and a graphics chip. For me the best portable emulator is still a 3DS with CFW though. :)
My phone does all the Portable Emulation I need these days. With one of those retractable iPega controllers and a relatively modern Android device, I can play all the way up to Wii and PS2 games.
I have a relative who _loves_ emulators. I cannot stand things like warez so I just leave those things alone. I went Mac in 2007 just to cleanse myself of that sort of thing, and I’ve never looked back! Great Stuff!
Love the RG350. However, I've never been a fan of the current d-pad placement but have just learned of a hardware revision dubbed the RG350m where the D-pad is now directly opposite of the face buttons leaving both analogue sticks on the bottom which works for me as i mostly use the d-pad anyway. Still thinking about the pocket go2 as it's still more portable way to play snes, cps1 and cps2 games. Also i'm sure someone has already mentioned to Odroid go advance which is more powerful but lacking the second analouge stick as well as the L2 & R2 buttons. Keep up with the great content Bob!
Some random dude on 4Chan claims that a "new Nintendo console" that looks exactly like this thing does is going to be revealed next direct. It's supposed to be called the "Nintendo Nano." There is absolutely nothing fishy about this at all.
The rg350 it's other bootleg emulator device, they put it on the description so that the people that searches for the 350 finds this one, the real 350 it's better
With the current pricing on the Q90 its a viable option. At the original $40 - $50 price point this would've been a hard pass, but in today's market I can get one for sub $30 regularly. At that price point with the release of CFW its my go to entry option for people on a budget. Hell I've been giving them out as gifts
As some one who's "borrowing" old games from the early 2000's on his phone, I question the need for one of these devices. Especially since my 8bitdo controller sinks with my phone easily.

Tbf, the pocketgo v2 has 2 flaws which annoys me: the dpad is stiff and often wont register inputs if you dont press it very hard (certainly a problem with the rubber "membrane" beneath it) and 50% of the time when I boot it I get a black screen, have to turn it off and on again. The emulators are passable, and it is not reccomended to update them if you dont want to mess with the menu button functionality. Wayforward games on the gbc usually had issues with sound, but I guess thats about it.
I had a question, or an idea for a video. What can a collector do to address frauds? Or individuals trying to mislead individuals getting into collecting, and how to avoid the scams? Second, I would like a autograph of yours on a T-shirt in my size. Can we make that happen. I've been wanting to support your channel for some time now.
I love to use my psp as a portable emulator, you need to install the emulators and do all the hacking stuff, but I think it's worth it, you can find any sort of emulator, or use something like retroarch, and most of them have fast foward options, button mapping and everything you may need. Unfortunately it's barely unable to play n64 or ps1 games but everything else runs pretty smooth, if you have an old psp, or if you manage to find a cheap one, I definitely recommend going for it

Honestly we need a sub $100 portable option that can handle up to PS1 and n64. So far the closest thing to portable N64 and PS1 at an affordable price are over $150... and these games have been playable on Android for YEARS. I suppose you could use a $90 smartphone and a $15 bluetooth controller and absolutely destroy all these consoles. I have a first get picket go and I love it for GB, GBC, and GBA, and NES... but most 32bit, and 64bit consoles are just too much to ask... and that seems dumb.
