I really loved the lead into the express vpn ad. I needed to laugh. I really love the original bittboy and was my daily driver for my commute to work (because of it's size) and really tempted to get the pocket go. On a side note, i ordered my RG350 from retromimi at the start of December hoping it would arrive in time for Christmas as i got another one for a friend but took only 8 days to arrive which i wasn't expecting. Not sure if it was because they do drop shipping for their more demanding products or the fact that it was going to Australia. Anyways, much love from Australia \m/

Man, to this day this is still one of the best looking handhelds imo, I kinda miss mine but it wasn't very powerful, wish something that looked just like it but with a better chipset came out these days.
Honestly, I have a Retroid Pocket 2+, and I love it. But I spent a total of $160 on it. I'm constantly afraid of scratching it, or dropping it. I'm considering getting the original DMG-style BittBoy to use strictly for GB/GBC/GBA games. Just like, as something I could toss in a bag or my pocket and not care too much if it gets scuffed. Kinda like I used to do with the original Game Boy back in the day. Not super fond of splitting my games up between handhelds, seeing as I already have a Vita too, for PS1/PSP/Vita games, and the RP2+ for most everything else. But I still kinda like the idea of a cheap $30 handheld I could just...carry with me without worrying about damaging it too much. Using it as a strictly Game Boy handheld. Update: Nevermind, can't actually find the original Bittboy for sale anywhere. Might get one of those PowKiddy V90 GBASP knockoffs instead. I've seen a video on it and it looks like it runs GB/GBC/GBA just fine. And since it folds up, it'd be a nice portable thing to carry with me.
It took 3 months to get my pocket go last year, and I live in the Philippines, real close to China. But the team replies email asap with updates on the product and that kept me from exploding
Great review! Just want to put this out there: if you order the console from retromimi, make sure you follow up by BBC sending an email. I ordered one about 12 days ago and was not seeing any updates on my order. It wasn't until two days ago when I sent an email asking for an update on my order that finally today I received an update email from them saying that it was shipped and with the tracking number. Hopefully it won't get stopped in customs due to the coronavirus!
I bought the original Pocket Go and loved it, and it sits on my bed-stand so I can play it every night before bed. I was on the fence about getting the upgrade, and your video was quite thorough! I think I may hold off just a little more though. Is it a true analog stick or is it pseudo-analog? I may just wait for the version that can also play N64 games with ease. Also, when I ordered the original one it arrived in less than 2 weeks all the way from China!
I want to see Silent Hill played on these kinds of machines. Absolute classic, fully 3D, not exactly too hard to run BUT still a neat test. It also uses a number of neat visual effects (such as the flashlight) that tend to break down or look wrong on poorly made emulators.
