That's awesome! We wish we could've interacted with more people but we were trying to survive staying up the whole marathon and get as much recordings in as possible.

@starwarslads I enjoyed Phantom Menace a lot more than I have in the past. I love every Star Wars movie, but one has to be at the bottom, and I always chose Episode 1 for that spot until now. The movie I probably enjoyed the least was The Rise of Skywalker. I had a lot of love for it at the time of release, but in this viewing, the pacing really stood out to me as being too fast. There's never a moment to breathe, and the story hops from one beat to the next in quick succession. I also wasn't fond of all the new characters, which I felt took away from the established Sequel characters. For example, Hux was entirely wasted in favor of Pryde, and why bring in Jannah or Zorii when we could have expanded on Rose or Maz Kanata?
My brother's opinions largely remained unchanged. Episode 3 is his all-time favorite
My best friend already loved Last Jedi, and after this viewing, it bumped up from his number two spot in the saga to number one
My girlfriend is actually new to Star Wars, and we were still going through the saga when the marathon was announced. We never finished prior to the marathon, so it was her first time seeing episodes 8 and 9 at this event. She sorta fell asleep on 8 but loved 9. Episode 3 is her favorite because of the way it blindsided her. She never knew that Anakin was Darth Vader, and it was like her version of the Episode 5 plot twist. When Palpatine said, "Henceforth, you shall be known as Darth... Vader." She audibly gasped and made me pause the movie to process what was happening.

Yeah, TROS definitely is a bit of a rough over time, and the rapidness of it was super apparent to us as well, especially with the dialogue. The extra characters are all a bit unnecessary, and even the ones with potential (Jannah and Pryde) have no time to establish their backgrounds and take it a step further for the main heroes' and villains' stories.
ROTS is hard to beat, it's why it's Liam's all time favorite and favorite Star Wars film, and Sanak's second favorite.
Think we heard y'all discussing a bit about TLJ during the breaks between some of the previous movies, nice to see that movie still can surprise all these years on!
It's super cool that ROTS can have that TESB twist effect for newer fans, it was obviously going to happen in '05 as a conclusion to the original six, but newer fans do often find great sadness seeing Anakin's turn if they start with Episode I (and have some TCW sprinkled in there for good measure too!)

I honestly just discovered your channel with your latest video ranking the eras of Star Wars, and I really enjoyed it. I like that you guys aren't hating on the franchise like most other Star Wars "fans" and you guys are so knowledgeable about the universe outside of the movies/shows which I really like as a reader myself(currently reading The Living Force, Phase 2 of the High Republic, and the Dark Droids Marvel Comics crossover event). I'm looking forward to more videos. Consider me a subscriber from here on out

We are planning on doing that right after The Acolyte! We do have some older Tier List rankings of the movies and shows and a ranking of the Skywalker Saga up on the channel already if you're interested in the meantime. Our opinions will most likely be pretty different than they were in that original tier list considering it was almost 2 years ago though haha

All 9. You can have your opinion on the sequels, but you would know we watched everything from The Phantom Menace to The Rise of Skywalker if you watched the video and put together the runtimes.
