I am in love with your content! As a literature student, i've learned how important it is to read actively and collect inspiring quotes. Sometimes reading a short quote from the book you read 5 years ago can make you remember the whole book. Paraphrasing the book and adding your own opinions to the page makes it nearly impossible the forget what you read. Thank you for these beautiful videos, sending lots of love to you and Azerbaijan from Turkey

I learned that one way to remember what we have read is to reread the chapter the next day and a week later. In this way, it remained in memory for many years. My mother is a teacher, and she attended a training with such information to help her students prepare for university exams. Türkiye’den sevgiler 🌸

These are great tips. I love the idea of using sticky notes. I’ve always written my notes in a separate notebook and used sticky tabs. However, I am happy to learn something new and am looking forward to using sticky note method. Thank you. This is great content. 💕

I always make notes with a book at the end of the chapter, taking note of any useful quotes or useful phrases. as well as doing a summary of my notes at the end of the book focussing on the takeaway things I've learnt. It is a good way to remember what's important as it could be a while before I revisit that particular book. Thanks, Jamila, for the additional tips. :-)

Dear Jamila! I'm grateful for your videos about books, I think you covered everything for remembering better 😊👌🏻
I always take notes when reading, but I do it in a special notebook/journal so I can improve my writing skills (English is not my first language). Now I discovered that not only does it help for my writing but also for remembering 💪🏻📝

Thank you for this video. Another tip is to write what you learned in a journal. I especially do this when I read a library book, and the notes come in handy for book club meetings. Yes, it makes me remember the material-you will be surprised how much you forget if you don’t write it down. Yes, I am in for your Book Club! 📚📝💕

When I studied at university, I found it easier to print articles rather than to read them on a computer, write notes on the sidebar, and write notes on the front of the paper like 'Useful for discussing dinner etiquette in England' or whatever.

This is something I struggle with. Too often I can't remember the title of the book and the author, which is sad because I've written a couple of books myself and I wish people could remember my book 😊
For those who don't like to highlight their books, I'd also suggest just following the lines with your finger. For some magical reason it helps to retain information.

    Hi Jamila,
Already commented but I just listen to this again and I have question this time. Actually a couple questions. Do you like Audible? I really like it and a year ago I felt very compelled to purchase a book in an audible format and also as a hard back because I wanted to be able to both write right in the book and play the book over and over and over again so that I will remember better and internalize the lessons.
Actually I just thought of another question. That book that I purchased twice it's a book about modesty. I remember one of your videos you touched on modesty in regards to remain discreet about the name of your perfume. Do you have any videos about feminine modesty in various aspects of womanhood?
The other question is, "Do you have plans on releasing your books on Audible and with you reading them?"
I was going to say a few more things but this comment is a really long. I'll just say that you and I have a lot of things in common, and so I'm grateful that TH-cam analytics allowed our virtual paths to cross. 😊
    Take care!
    Nicole

Shaking means sometime you were bringing one foot forward, sometime backward. Now my question is that Is it ok when we are standing with friends ,And we are shaking like in that video . Then is it ok or not? Means it will not seem we are not comfortable.
